CHAPTER 5
~I have found you an argument; but I am not obliged to find you an understanding.~
:Samuel Johnson:
****Samantha’s POV****Fast forward, ladies and gentleman—
yes, yes! You’ve read it right, its ‘fast-forward’ time since nothing much happened... Well, actually, not really—some things
did happen.
Friday, the last day of school for the week—by this time, my friends already know the fact about
Luke the Lunatic::: that he was the big perverted ogre I bumped into—and that I wish he goes back to whatever planet he came from, and that I wish he didn’t came into my life.

It was around lunch time and I was sitting with my usual pals inside this certain restaurant called
Lineage situated near our school.
My pals were worriedly looking at me at that moment while I was eating my fish fillet; I was chewing on it like it was hard gum—and that’s a
prolonged chewing, mind you. The food inside my mouth almost felt like liquid, disgusting I know, but I didn’t mind at that time....
In any case, I am irritated, so they, and you, shouldn’t blame me or anything! To hell with that bastard—that Luke! Volunteering to be a ‘
representative’ and then he would just let me do all the work?!
The hell! The hell! The HEEEELLLL! (I will not be surprised if Hades would appear to me right at this instant.)
Wanna know why? Why I hate that Luke more and more each day?
SCENARIO 1Samantha: Sir said we have to make letters for the parents of our classmates regarding about the trip we’re about to commence.Mark: Oh. I’m sorry; I have to go out for a bit.Samantha: Eh? What did you just say? Oh wait. So you’re telling me you won’t help me?Mark: Why would I, missy?Samantha: Duh. ‘Cause you’re a representative?!Mark: Oh. I thought it was just a position where you just show yourself in meetings.Samantha: It isn’t!Mark: Ooooh, sorry missy, I’m really, really, late already, see you! Keep it up, okay?
SCENARIO 2Mark: Yo!Samantha: Don’t “yo” me. By the way, sir said we have to send the letters out now. Mark: Eh? What?Samantha: *nerves bursted* Letters. Parents. Deliver. The. Two. Of. Us.Mark: Er… Aaaahm…Wild girls: Ooooooh! It’s the hunky Luke! Hi! Hi! Hi thereeeee!Mark: Oh… H-hi there… Err… Where are you girls going?Wild girls: Over there! Can you pleaaase accompany us? Love? We’re sorta looost.Mark: Errr, okay… Sam, I think have to accompany these ladies.Samantha: Ssuuuureeee.Wild girls: *wild shrieks* Samantha: Greeeeaaaaat. SCENARIO 3Samantha: SIR SAID WE HAVE TO RESERVE A BUS AND THAT WE HAVE TO ORGANIZE OTHER DETAILS FOR OUR TRIP.Mark: Did you…… just say anything?Samantha:] Oh sh!t, why do I even try? Okay, I’ll do it by myself! Bye!Mark: Good. You knew that you could do it right from the start, so, why do you even pester me?Why do you even pester me?Why do you even pester me?Why do you even pester me?Why do you even pester me?Why do you even pester me?“YEAH RIGHT! I’ll gladly kick your *pukaaaawk*
, Luke Richens! Just wait for it…!” I bellowed as I slammed my hands on the table, sending the plates and the utensils to clatter noisily.
All of my pals jerked up while all the people inside the restaurant faced our way—hell, I didn’t care.
Mark waved at the other customers,
“It’s nothing dears, it’s nothing.”Once everyone stopped throwing curious glances over our table, Mark faced me,
“Sister, don’t make such a scene! Puh-lease, bessss!”"Like seriously." Cindy said.
"You might be the next big scoop.... from all the people witnessing you here....I finally swallowed the food that I was chewing for minutes (yuck),
“Oh come on, if you were in my place, wouldn’t you be irritated?”“I might be, but… Well, you always managed the job alone right from the start right?” Lucy asked.
I forced a smile,
“You’re sounding just like Luke, honey… and some friends you are, really! Not helping me on the ‘representative tasks’ or something—and that’s three years already... Why is the position even called ‘class representative’ anyway? Totally pointless.”Mark whispered almost to himself,
“But Luke is gorgeous… perfect… responsible… sexy… hot…he wouldn’t—”Erica cut him off,
“Oh Sam, you know that we all have our own organizations that we are in-charge of so we’re full, and besides, that’s not the point, and, Lucy on the other hand, has a point.”“Honey, that’s not the point!”“It is the point!”“Not the point!”“It is the point!”“Not the point!”Mark threw his hands in the air,
“OKAAAYYYY! Enough with the ‘point’ word women!”“My point is—”“I just said enough with the—”I stared at Mark.
“Okaaaay, okaaaaay sister, I didn’t say anything…”“Like what I said, he volunteered for the position, and then of course, I would naturally give him some slight dependence since we’re both on it! But he keeps me hanging and I’m doing all the work which is supposed to be for both of us! Both! And I am always hassled! Only me! Representative work plus school work!? Fook yeah! Dang… DO YOU GET WHAT I MEAN? HUH GUYS? SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS?! YOU GET IT?” I roared.
All of my pals fearfully nodded.
“Excellent,” was all I said, and I took a mouthful of my fish fillet...
I started chewing on it for minutes—again…
…Then I suddenly started to recall Luke’s antics—and I felt my nerves perked up a bit. I just can’t take
iiiiiiiiiiit! “DAMMIT THAT—”Mark abruptly stood and hollered in a shocking
manly voice.
“OKAY OKAY! WE GET IT SISTER!” I was taken aback. All of the people inside the restaurant were gazing at us again especially at Mark.
“JUST LET US EAT IN PEACE!” Mark said, and then he looked at all the people,
“WHAAAAT? DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, NIGGAS and WIGGERS?”All of them went back to what they were doing.
Mark… Wow.

I stared at Mark—he meekly raked his hair with his fingers while staring out of the window…
awkward silence fell upon our table.
I felt the urge to say something, so I said,
“And this year’s Grammy Award for Best Artist goes to…. Mark Leisters!”Lucy, Erica, Cindy and I started clapping our hands silently while Mark waved his hands in the air as though he just won a
beauty pageant. Everyone at the restaurant started looking at us
weirdly.
