THREE.I’m the one who’s weird? Come on, Dominic.

Wait. Dominic talked to me? He actually talked to me? Wow, that’s new. That’s definitely new.
I went inside our classroom and sat on my chair, dumbfounded. I asked the student in front of me why we didn’t have class, she told me that she had no idea. Well I guess Ms. Eugneio is just late.
I still tried to find my mirror, but Dominic tapped my shoulder first.
“I was just kidding. You weren’t crying, but you were just…” He looked at me in the eyes.
“…teary eyed.”Then he shifted his weight, and closed his eyes. I just looked at him, then shrugged.
Suddenly, my phone vibrated.

I turned to face the direction of Kaille’s seat. Then she signaled me to go to the chair near her. When I was near her, she smiled as me. Then I looked at her with a ‘
What?’ expression on my face.
“Well… Spill it.” I sat at the chair beside Kaille and faced her. “
Spill what?”“You know…” What the hell is this girl talking about?
“What?!”“The conversation.” Then she looked at Dom.
Oh, so now I see.
“So what? It was just a normal conversation about…” I looked at him again,
“…teary eyes.”“You just talked to Gian Dominic Coanco. How normal is that? And you talked about teary eyes. What the hell Jeanne.” I rolled my eyes at her.
“I mean, teary eyes?! Come on. You’ve just established a connection with The Snob, and you just let it slip away.”“Whatever. I don’t care.”When I was about to leave, she held my hand.
“I was just kidding Jeanne.”I smiled at her, then I went back to my seat. Not for long, the teacher came in.
“Good morning class.”As usuall, we replied with…
“Good morning Ms. Eugenio.”…in chorus.
“You may take your seats.” Then she put all of her stuff on top of her desk.
“I have good and bad news.”We stared at her for a moment. I don’t know if she was waiting for a reaction or what, but the class remained silent.
“The good news is, you’ll still be having your electives.”Fine. What’s so good about that? The class still did not react.
“The bad news is…” *sighs* “…the Principal is trying a new program, so there’s a new system tht’s going to be implemented.”“A new system?” We all turned to face Gino.
“What’s it about? Cafeteria lines?”The class roared with laughter.
“No Mr. Reyes, it’s about partners.”“About what?!” He turned to face Kaille.
“Don’t tell me having a girlfriend isn’t allowed in this school?!”A lot of students complained.

What? Is having a mutual relationship a trend in this generation? Ang babata pa ninyo. Tss. (Well, I shouldn’t be complaining. I’ve already had a boyfriend, and I’m telling you,
IT S*CKS.)
“Mr. Reyes, I wasn’t talking about that kind of partner. What I meant was, the Principal was thinking of a buddy-buddy relationship among students, which I think is really absurd, since we didn’t implement it at the start of the school year, and he thought that it would still work during the second quarter… onwards.”“Ma’am, sino naman po buddy namin?” She has a point. Who the heck would be my buddy?
“Well Ria, your buddy is your…” She looked at the piece of paper that she was holding.
“…seatmate.”“Oh.”Oh. Seatmate pala eh.Wait…
“SEATMATE?!!”XOXO
I was at the cafeteria, staring at my stupid lunch. I have a stupid life. Stupid, stupid, stupid me.
“Hey Jeanne. Are you okay?” I just slouched at my seat.
“Hey, don’t worry. Everything’s gonna be alright.”I looked at her.
“That’s easy for you to say. Your buddy is Gino. Your abnormal boyfriend.”“Shut up Jeanne.” Then he laughed.
All the others were happy with their partners. They get to choose their electives together, and they’d automatically be partners during the fieldtrips. But I’m stuck with Dom. I’m stuck with The Snob. Noooooooo! :’(
“Sticks was supposed to be my buddy!!!” I toyed with my food. I wasn’t in the mood to eat. I buried my face in my hands. I felt someone take the seat right next to me… Then someone put his/her arm around me. Woah. FC, much?
“What’s up, buddy?” OMG.I felt the strands of hair at the back of my neck stand up. I froze. Shoot.
“Oh my…” I got rid of my hands in front of my face so I could see the reaction on Kaille’s face. She was… Uhh…
Petrified?

Nah. She was in a state of shock.
And so was I.
“Do you want this tray to head straight for your face?”“Alright. Alright.” He let go of me. I looked at Gino, he didn’t even care. What the hell was that?! He didn’t care for me?! Screw him! Or is this one of those
sige-pare-bahala-ka-diyan things?!
[flashback]
“Why aren’t you stopping them?” We were in front of an arguing ‘couple’. The guy was Dennis’ friend, and he looked like he wanted to cuss, or something.
“It’s a guy thing.”“What?” I looked at him, confused.
“It’s one of those sige-pare-bahala-ka-diyan-di-ako-makikialam things.” I laughed at the way he pronounced it. It was like he wanted to gasp for air.
“Are you sure?” I looked at the girl, she was about to cry.
“200 percent.”[end of flashback]
Well, maybe it is. Shoot.
“We need to go.” Kaille tugged Gino’s arm, and he stood up.
“Bye Jeanne!” I looked at them, and my eyes widened. They’re leaving me with this klutz?! No way!
“Adios!”“What do you want?”“Quality time.” He started sipping his drink. I looked at him with bore.
“Quality time with the chair? Sure thing Dominic.” I stood up, and got my things. I headed for the door.
As I got out of the Cafeteria, I tied my hair. Just as I suspected, he didn’t follow me. Good thing.

Suddenly, someone put his/her had around my shoulder.
“Call me Dom.”Argh!
XOXO
GAAAAAAAAHD. I couldn’t sleep. Screw Dominic!
I opened my computer, and checked my files. And I came upon
his old letter.
His first letter. Thanks for being there for me.
Thanks for making me realize that my life was important.
Thanks for saving me.
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer.
Do you know you’re unlike any other?
You’ll always be my Thunder.

Never leave me, okay?
-Suicidal Freak
[flashback]
“Shoot. Sticks! I’m friggin’ nervous!” I tried rubbing my hands together. I was at the gymnasium of the sister school of ours. (Gets?)

It was the Battle of the Bands, and we were allowed to compete here.
“And I’m freakin’ cold!”I suddenly felt an article of clothing wrap around my shoulders. I looked at it, and it was a T-shirt. Weird, I was expecting a jacket.

Haha.
“Come on Sticks, couldn’t you find a decent…” I turned to face him.
“…j-ja-cket?”“I’m sorry miss, that’s all I had.”
He was
topless. MY GAHD.
“I-I’m s-s-sorry, you can h-have it back.”He shook his head.
“Nah. I’m gonna die anyway.” Then he laughed. I didn’t get it.
“Was that supposed to be a joke?”“No.”We were backstage, and a lot of performers were getting ready. And there he was, topless. He went inside an empty room, and I followed him.
“Hey! Wait!”“Miss, why do you even care?” I was taken aback with that question.
“Well, I’m sorry.” I said, sarcastically.

He shook his head.
“Forget it. I’m sorry too. It’s just that, I’m nervous.”“I’m nervous too. This is my first time to perform.” I sat at the chair beside him.
“I’m not nervous about that. I’ve been performing dozens of times.” Aba’t mayabang ang gag*.
“Hahaha.”“What are you in your band? And what’s your band?”He turned to face me.
“Front man. Second Kiss.”SECOND KISS? O___O
“Shoot! You’re the vocalist of Second Kiss?! Wow. Idol! You’ve been the champion of this school ever since you were first year students.”“Yup.”“Wow. Imagine. Three years!”He looked at me, and he smiled. He was
gorgeous.
“So, what are you nervous about?”“Death.” Gahd. Emo kid pala ito.
“What?”“I’m gonna kill myself later.”I laughed at him, and face him. When I studied his face, his look was serious. He stared at me, then he buried his hands in his face.
“You aren’t kidding, right?”“Yup.”“Another Suicidal Freak. Oh well…” I stood up.
“…I’m not stopping you.”“You aren’t?”“Nope. It’s for you to decide how to waste your life. I’m just plain happy as is. I try to look at details positively. I mean, why waste my life, if I could be enjoying it? Hell yeah, I’ve got a lot of problems, but I wouldn’t end it right here and there.”He stood up,
“You’re the first person to… not-stop me.” Then he laughed.
I smiled at him. Then I walked away, but before I could reach the door…
“Miss… I didn’t catch your name.”“It’s Jeanne. And yours?”“I’m Dennis…”“…Jeanne, thanks.”[end of flashback]
It was his first letter to me. I never deleted it. Even though it was cheesy, I saved it. I always enjoyed reading it. But now, it’s better if I’d delete it.
A pop-up appeared.
