I had the symptoms similar to a UTI but after I submitted swab tests and a urine test, the doctor said that I didn't have UTI nor some sort of STI/STD.  I don't think he said that I had PDI as well.  He prescribed me Amoxillin and something else.

I had the same symptoms about 1.5 months ago, went to the doctor and submitted the same tests, results came back the same.  He not only prescribed me Amoxillin but a future prescription so that I don't have to see a doctor just in case this happens again.

^ The bacteria which showed up in the two tests was called "beta hemolytic streptococci"

My first/second one:
Near the end of my urination would be very painful, but it did not burn.  My doctor said that the bladder probably had some sort of friction with the vagina/uterus entrance (the muscle action when urination?) - the sensitive area where he found the bacteria.
I would have the urge to urinate afterwards because it felt like as if there's something pushing my bladder down.  Or I would feel very sensitive when I walk or sit.

My first episode was seen as a "severe infection".  The doctor did a couple of swab tests and there was some sort of organic matter on the swab - it looked like blood - even though I definitely was not on my period.  He even did a manual ovarian exam :/  It was basically very, very painful for me to function - couldn't sleep, lie down, sit down, walk and I was scared of eating or drinking anything for about a week.  I made myself go to uni which was a very bad mistake - eurgh, I guess I thought that perhaps this may pass and that I should try and do my normal tasks.  If I didn't feel better after three days on antibiotics, I would have to go to the hospital and get medication via some sort of tube and do an ovarian test to see if scarring or damage has been done.  Felt better about 2 days after, but in those times I've thought about calling the hospital.

On my most recent one, I arranged for an appointment about 2-3 days after I got my first signs that this was the case again.  It was a bit more odd because it would appear and then disappear (except during urination).  For example, when I waited for the bus, it would be painful for me to sit down yet while I walked to the doctor's, I wasn't sensitive anymore.  The situation around this was different too - I was on the Pill and have recently finished taking antibiotics for low grade tonsillitis.

UTI na kaya to? oh, no! HELP!

Hi! I'm also 8 months pregnant and prone to UTI (ganun daw kasi mga buntis madaling magka UTI). My doctor advises to take CranUTI 2x a day for 5 days or until mawala siya and then for prevention once a day na lang.  Tapos drink plenty of water each day.  Ok naman sya at very effective. :)

I also read in their brochure that CranUTI prevents the infection causing E. Coli bacteria from clinging to the lining of the urinary tract, the bacteria is simply flushed away during urination. It is also 100% natural and has no side effects.  And its also high in antioxidants and flavonoids and can help prevent kidney stones, stomach ulcers, gum diseases, arteriosclerosis and cancer.  And can be purchased over the counter and without doctors prescription. CranUTI is also good for kids suffering UTI.  Smiley 8)

I'm glad I don't have UTI anymore, when I experienced this one time, I was sent to the hospital's emergency room.  I felt so much pain, I had to wake up the people here so someone can drive me to the hospital.
