Unti-unting nagdo-doble ang galit ko at parang gusto kong umiyak pero parang numb na rin ako habang pinapakinggan ko.

Parang nanggaliiti ang boses ni Kelly, "Ano bay an Candace. His one and only true love?"

Halatang galit ang boses ko, "Mukhang Dave had a busy week."

"Alam mo ba Dave. I am so sick and tired of your answering machine. Bawat na dapat nandyan ka na sa home mo, and it's after 10PM na, imbis na ikaw ang sasagot, yung punyetang answering machine mo ang sumasagot. Pero I tell you what nalang Dave, oras na dumating ka dyan sa pamamahay mo, at napakingan mo itong message ko sayo, tawagan mo ako kaagad. Intyendes Dave?"

Sabi ko kay Kelly sa phone, "Trip talaga si Apple.

Ni-rewind ko yung answering machine ni Dave. Click. Beep!

"Dave, this is Kelly. Tinatawagan lang kita kung nandyan si Candace and ... - "

"Yesterday yun."

Kelly said, "Are you okay?"

"At least ngayon alam ko na kung bakit sya umalis."

Tanong ni Kelly, "Bakit?"

Sinagot ko sya, "Para i-prevent nyang pumunta dito at magiskandalo ang isa sa mga chicababes nya. Si Apple siguro. Kse nung nag ring yung telephone kanina halos mabaklian sya ng leeg sa pagkuha ng telepono at sa pag ready na pagalis."

May naisipan ako. "Kelly do me a favor okay sis."

Part 40 - Candace's p.o.v.

So Kelly walked me through Dave's machine, kung paano makuha yung message retrieval code sa answering machine ni Dave. Magaling mangiskandalo talaga si Kelly parang politician. So binigay ko sa kanya yung three digit code. Tapos tumawag ulit si Kelly sa phone ni Dave at ginawa nya yung sequence para siguradong makuha nya yung mga messages ni Dave. Tapos sinigurado nyang kayak o rin kunin yung mga messages ni Dave by calling his phone. Yup I can check Dave's messages anytime kahit wala ako sa pamamahay nya.

Nag decide ako na walang sabihin kay Dave. Gagamitin ko na lang yung code nya para ma-retrieve yung verbal phone pals nya na nagiiwan ng messages ng araw at gabi. I really don't care naman. I like Dave, pero not that much that it hurts.

Pero nasasayang na yung oras ko ng Saturday. Late na ako makapag meeting sa aking secret rendezvous. Magkikita kami ni Craig. Yes yung lying bastard jerk na Craig. Akala nya makikipagbalikan ako sa kanya. Kung alam nya lang yung pinaplano ko para sa kanya. That lying son of a biyatch.

Actually no. I am not including Kelly's story. I was just musing. Maybe she can be part of another story, maybe her own, pero then I have to develop that particular story.

This is Richard's and Candace's story. No need to make it convoluted. Haha.
