Spaghetti Carbonara

Ingredients

    * 1 pound spaghetti
    * 1 tablespoon olive oil
    * 8 slices bacon, diced
    * 1 tablespoon olive oil
    * 1 onion, chopped
    * 1 clove garlic, minced
    * 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
    * 4 eggs
    * 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    * 1 pinch salt and black pepper to taste
    * 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
    * 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

   1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook spaghetti pasta until al dente. Drain well. Toss with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and set aside.
   2. Meanwhile in a large skillet, cook chopped bacon until slightly crisp; remove and drain onto paper towels. Reserve 2 tablespoons of bacon fat; add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil, and heat in reused large skillet. Add chopped onion, and cook over medium heat until onion is translucent. Add minced garlic, and cook 1 minute more. Add wine if desired; cook one more minute.
   3. Return cooked bacon to pan; add cooked and drained spaghetti. Toss to coat and heat through, adding more olive oil if it seems dry or is sticking together. Add beaten eggs and cook, tossing constantly with tongs or large fork until eggs are barely set. Quickly add 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, and toss again. Add salt and pepper to taste (remember that bacon and Parmesan are very salty).
   4. Serve immediately with chopped parsley sprinkled on top, and extra Parmesan cheese at table.

I LOVE CARBONARA!  :)

(Classic Italian dish)

Ingredients:

• 1 lb, 5 oz (600 g) fresh fettuccine, or 1 lb (450 g) dried;
• 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan, plus more for serving;
• 8 tbsp (one stick) unsalted butter, cubed;
• salt and freshly ground black pepper;
• 1 cup heavy cream

Directions:
Prep: 5 min Total: 15 min (Quick)

1. Bring a large saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the fettuccine and cook according to the package instructions, just until al dente.

2. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add the cream and heat until steaming. Drain the fettuccine well, then add to the hot cream mixture. Add the Parmesan and toss well to coat. Season with salt and pepper.

3. Divide the pasta among warmed plates. Serve at once, with more grated Parmesan passed on the side, or shave curls from a chunk of Parmesan over each serving instead.

DEEP-FRIED OREOS

Ingredients:
Hotcake Mix
Oreos
Vanilla Ice Cream(Optional)

How to:
1. Prepare hotcake mix. (Read instructions at the back of box) Pero huwag masyadong malabnaw yung mixture para kumapit sa cookies. :)
2. Dip the Oreo Cookies. Make sure you coated the whole cookie.
3. Then deep fry in hot oil. Cookies will float so make sure you flip it kaagad kasi madali siyang magbrown.
4. Drain in paper towel.
5. Serve with vanilla ice cream on top if desired.
6. Enjoy! :)

hi sis! thank you sa recipe na ito! grabe ginawa ko yan with my little cousins and oh my freakin gosh! nakalimutan ko pangalan ko. it was HEAVEN! ang sarap. my mom even bought a lot of oreos and pancake mix asking me too cook those again. yum yum! :)

RASPBERRY CREAM SANDWICH COOKIES.

Recipe Rundown
Taste: Sweet and surprisingly fresh.
Texture: The cookies are buttery, soft, and slightly chewy while the filling is thick and rich.
Ease: Does dirty a few dishes but nothing overly challenging.
Appearance: The cute factor of these cookies was my favorite part.
Pros: Adorable, would be perfect for a girl's birthday, bridal or baby shower.
Cons: Can be a little much on the sweet side, and requires use of both an electric mixer and food processor.

Raspberry Cream Sandwich Cookies
Makes about 3 dozen cookies

From Cookies by Martha Stewart

For the cookies:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 sticks (10 tablespoons) unsalted butter softened
1 1/2 cups plus 2 teaspoons sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 vanilla bean halved lengthwise, seeds scraped and reserved

For the filling:

1 1/3 cups fresh or frozen raspberries (can be substituted with Strawberries to make Strawberry cream) (1/2 pint)
7 1/2 ounces best-quality white chocolate, coarsely chopped
1/3 cup heavy cream

For cookies:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
Mix butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until pale and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. Add egg, extract, and vanilla seeds; mix until smooth. Reduce speed to low. Gradually mix in flour mixture. Scoop batter using a 1-inch ice cream scoop; space 2 inches apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
Bake, rotating sheets halfway through until golden and just set, 8-10 minutes. Let cool on parchment on wire racks.

For filling:
Puree raspberries and remaining 2 teaspoons sugar in a food processor. Pour mixture through a fine sieve into a small bowl, pressing to extract juice; discard seeds. Set mixture aside. Melt white chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Remove from heat; whisk in cream in a slow stream. Slowly whisk in reserved raspberry mixture. Refrigerate up to 45 minutes.
Spread 1 heaping teaspoon raspberry cream on the undersides of half the cookies. Sandwich with remaining cookies.

These cookies are super yummy. Not suited for a diet though. Enjoy!
