the story is very catchy coz i can relate to it!
the drinking part.. its embarassing but yeah! i drink. lalo na pag may problema.. alak ang kasangga mo jan!

CHAPTER 5

I blinked and stared at the card for ten whole seconds. My eyes couldn’t believe it. It was indeed from Mr. Football player. I was overwhelmed that he still remembered me. I wasn’t obsessed to him or any the like but… I just maybe wanted to see him. I smiled and put the card in my pocket.

I went upstairs and rested on my bed.

“Will I ever see his face?” I remembered that he wore a helmet that he refused to remove.

I didn’t wait anymore. Slowly, I opened the card and saw his handwriting. Actually I wasn’t sure if it was his handwriting, but it didn’t matter. I moved my eyes as I read the card, once in a while smiling.

Heath,

I really don’t know what to write here. I just decided to write you something, like a letter.

Heath, can we meet one day? I don’t know but I want to see you.

I’ll be waiting tomorrow afternoon at the football field. Hope to see you.

Mr. Football Player.

He wanted to see me. Apparently, I wanted to see him too.

I looked at the clock and realized that it was already late. I dozed.

The next day, I went down and saw a note on the refrigerator.

Heather, I went to my friend’s house. I already bought 3 lottery tickets so don’t buy more. Go to the grocery store and buy me these…

I changed clothes and went out. Grocery store was only a ride away and I didn’t have to worry.

As I walked through the store, a kid strolled in front of me. “Do you know where kuya is?”

The hell. Do I look like a saleslady or something?

I moved away from her. She cried. “I was just asking you.” I looked at her; there was pity in her eyes.

“Maybe he’s somewhere.” I was never good when it came to kids. Who is anyway? Kids are so annoying. They never do anything good.

“But where?”

As if I cared. “Just ask the guard or someone. Not me okay little miss?” I walked away.

“There you are Hannah! I finally found you!” I heard a familiar voice. It was Brian’s voice.

“Kuyaaaa!!!” the little brat ran into his arms. “Go to your mom. She’s over there.” The girl went away.

“Hey, why are you here?”

“Shouldn’t I be here?” I gave him ‘the’ look. “Is this grocery store your property huh?”

“Apparently yes.” I looked at him shocked. “Kidding.”

I started to walk. “You’re so hot-headed you know.” He raised a strand of my hair. “Good thing your hair doesn’t burn.”

I looked at him. “What do you want Brian?”

He looked up. “Well, I really want a chocolate ice cream right now.”

I stopped. “What?!”

“Chocolate ice cream. You asked me right?”

I sighed. “Go ask your mom.”

He didn’t reply and looked down. I looked at him, he was weird.

I finished buying everything my mom asked me to buy. Brian still followed me.

“Goodbye Brian. I need to go home.” Then I heard an ice cream vendor.

“Do you want ice cream?” He asked me. “My treat.”

That wouldn’t be bad, I thought. “Sure.” He handed me the chocolate ice cream and we sat in one of the benches.

“Why did you come with me?”

“I didn’t come with you. Feeler.” He said pouting.

“Are you stupid?”

“I accompanied you.” Oh right. It was just the same.

“Whatever. You’re not a good talker, talk to someone else. Just… talk to your mom.” I stood and started walking.

“I don’t have a mom.” Shocked, I looked back at him.

I saw him walking away. “Where are you going?”

“Somewhere where you aren’t there.” Argh. I hate him.

“For your information, I don’t want to be with you too.” He looked back. “Feeler.”

“Good. We’re on the same boat.” He declared.

Argh. He was really filling up my nerves. I couldn’t imagine how his friends ever tolerated him. I mean, he acted so differently.

“Whatever…” I couldn’t believe I spent almost a day with him. I looked at my watch. It was 4 pm. I looked around and saw a bunch of guys playing football. I smiled.

Mr. Football player was again on my mind.

Suddenly, I remembered something.“Oh crap. I almost forgot, I’m going to meet him!” I ran towards our house.

My mom hadn't arrived. I went straight to my room.

"Crap, what am I going to wear?" I looked at my clothes in the closet.

I pulled a red halter top and jacket."I'm never good at this. Damn."
