Since school is starting, I thought maybe it would be good to start a thread (particularly for incoming college freshmen and the like) about student housing, particularly dorms.

Feel free to share your experiences if you're staying in one, or if you've stayed in one.

Can anyone recommend good/affordable accommodations near:

*UA&P

kasi usually daw ang mga dorms daw is lumang bahay na pinalaki para gawing dorms.. totoo ba?

^ Lol, I think that's every girl's personal choice and lookout. If you're careful and present/handle yourself well, it won't happen to you! The problem is, a lot of girls feel overly independent (or maybe they can't handle the pressures of univ/independence or maybe they're just insecure or something) that they start sleeping around or focus too much on boys, sex, parties, etc. That's the cause of those pregnancies and not the dorms!

ewan ko lang sa food...haha!sa june pa ko magdodorm dun...yung mga madre,sabi ng isa kong ate dun,mababait naman daw..hehe!

nabasa ko na ung dorm regulations..maraming restrictions! curfews and up to the use of tv and electric fan

mahirap nga makalaban ang homesickness.. ako noon mga first 2 weeks naiiyak pa ko.. pero after nun, maiisip mo mas masarap pala magdorm.. lalo na pag masaya kasama dormmates mo. share lang.. hehe.

Sa Elizabeth Hall naman ako sa Katipunan kasi malapit sa UP.  Convenient naman dahil may Watsons, Mongkok, convenience store at computer shop sa 1st floor. Medyo mahal nga lang kasi 3,300/month di pa kasama ang electricity at water kaya sinusubukan kong maghanap ng iba. Di ko rin problema ang rules and regulations dahil parang naka-condo na ako sa luwag nila

may alam ba kayong boarding house o apartment sa katipunan o teacher's village?
