Hey-Yow!

Magtatanong lang po ako kung ano ang SUBJECT REQUIREMENTS or kahit ano pang requirements upang makapasok sa isang LAW or MED school or depende sa school na papasukan mo?  >_<

What I want to know po sana ay kung may subject requirements pag papasok ng med/law school. Like sa law school (DAW ayon sa aking not-so-reliable na source) ay 15 units of language and 9 units of math (pakitama na lang sana kung may nakakaalam ng tunay na req. :D)

Hi! Im not sure about this. but maybe for med: kailangan my chem, bio, anatomy, microbio, parasitology kang subjects. Im not sure on how many units kasi sa UST Nursing, ganyan mga subjects namin, & wala na kaming kailangan idagdag for med proper :)

I have a few friends working in Congress. Most of them are law graduates and law students and some of the staff members are polsci graduates. A few are liberal arts majors.

I personally don't recommend aiming for a career in congress because your position is co-terminus with your congressman boss (meaning pag wala na sa pwesto boss mo, tanggal ka na din) and the skill set is not transferrable to the private sector  :)

MARKETING/BUSINESS

•   Marketing is more about researching the target market effective ways of promoting the product and marketing mix while advertsing is promoting the product/service through advertisements you see on televisions, leaflets, billboards etc.
•   According sa natutunan ko sa Entrepreneurship na subject. It requires more communication skills kasi you deal with people here. It is about how you'll be marketing your products to people.

ACCOUNTING

•   you don't need to be a math wizard to take up accountancy. it's math daw requires only the 4 basic operations. yun lang at ayos ka na. but then it's more of memorization and understanding the concepts and laws to be able to pass the course. maganda rin ang course na ito kasi kahit saan ka mag-apply eh maraming job opportunities dahil every company needs an accountant. it is also a good pre-law course kasi if your very fortunate to pass the board and bar exam eh big time ka na dahil CPA lawyer ka. kaya nga i'll be taking up this course as my pre-law. advantage pa nito eh kung tamarin ka na mag law proper atleast malaki yung job opportunities mo.
•   Pwede namang pre-law ang Accounting eh.
•   Analysis daw talaga ang kailangan sa Accountancy.
•   It's challenging but you definitely don't need to be fantastic with Maths. Basic operations lang ang involved dito. Grasping concepts and applying it is a bit hard but you'd get there if you're patient enough. More on analysis talaga ang accounting. You need focus and of course you have to enjoy solving problems and adding up LOTS and LOTS of numbers. Nakakahilo minsan when buong araw mo kaharap accounts of companies with more than 5 digit figures sometimes. I agree that it's really a good pre-law course. Even if you don't pursue law you'd still have very good job opportunities.

This is actually so true. When I enrolled in Accountancy, I was afraid of the math. The math actually just turns out to be basic Algebra. It's the analysis that will kill you, though. How and where to apply the mathematical concepts.

ganito yung field ng course ko sa UST ngayon. it's AB Behavioral Science. Sa HR, you get to work with people in a corporate setting. HR ang gumagawa madalas sa training, recruitment and selection of employees, admin works, mga ganun.  :-)

Any particular reason why they don't want you to pursue med? Too many doctors in the family already, eh? Haha, kidding. I regret not making decisions for myself that's why I'm here stuck making my parents' dreams come true. If your resources will permit, go for what really interests you.
