Hi Guys! I'm a graduating high school student. In college, Balak kong mag-graphic design and multimedia arts sa La Salle Dasma. Tanong ko lang, how's math ba sa course na 'to? mahina ako dun eh. Magma-masscom nga sana ako sa takot ko sa math kasi wala daw math dun. Kaso, passion ko talaga ang editing. Pasagot naman oh. Tsaka, wala naman 'tong board exam diba? haha.. I hate how I live with these fears..

Opo. Maganda naman po pero mas marami silang sciences at maths dahil alam ko Bachelor of Science Major in Multimedia Arts and Sciences sila.

Lahat po ng course may math ^____^ Pero basic maths lang naman like college algebra and the likes. Kung gusto niyo talaga ng editing, dun ka na lang sa graphic design chuchu kasi hindi naman natin maiiwasan ang math. Basta lagi mo lang sabihin sa sarili mo: "Kaya ko to" /b]

Hindi naman siya mahirap.. Kung minors, sakto lang, depende sa prof yung minors eh. Haha! Kung majors, sobrang dami lang plates. Pero keri yan kung gusto mo talaga yung MMA. Advantage mo na yung konting knowledge sa drawing! Haha. Kasi ako di talaga ako marunong eh, pero nagawa kong magsketch ng tao Welcome 112! Hihi

it's alright if you're not as great in drawing as you'd like to be. there are subjects that will help you get better later on and speaking from experience you won't be drawing much anyway after your animation classes (unless animation ang thesis mo).

MMA is a difficult course, difficult in the sense that you have to be passionate about it because while it may not be challenging academically (i'm talking about math, science, etc), the hours are long and coming up with good design consistently is hard. kahit ano pang sabihin ng tao, mahirap magdesign. hindi lang yun salpak salpak tapos pwede mo nang tawaging design. MMA is not just about graphic design or drawing, video, web, etc it's a combination of different disciplines and you're expected to do well in all of those. i've had batch mates who shifted to a  different course kasi ang gusto lang naman nila is one aspect of MMA (photography, for example) and they shifted to the course that focuses only on that. kaya nag naging multimedia because you will learn how to merge different media in order to create something that solves your design problem.

i guess i could say that all you really need to have to enjoy MMA is to be really passionate about art and design. even if you can't make it right now, the genuine desire to create something beautiful and useful will serve you well because it's that drive that compels you to do better.

so pressured na ako. nakapasa ako sa CSB, with a degree of MMA. nako, sana makayanan ko. at sana matanggap ako sa scholarship...

Whew! Im getting nervous and excited at the same time.. Diba po marami namang trabaho ang pwedeng makuha after ka maggraduate sa course na 'to? si mama kasi gusto niya ng in demand kaya gusto niya ako mag-engineer eh hindi ko naman yun gusto..

currently, marami. i can't say it will be the same by the time you graduate. pero since marami kang pwedeng pasukan na field after grad (depends sa choice mo kung saan ka magfofocus) madaming options. maraming designers ang freelance lang ginagawa, buhay na sila. depende sa diskarte mo (well, you can apply that to any field actually)

Hmmm.. kasi po my cousin is currently 3rd year in CSB. MMA is her course. She shared her experiences and after I heard that I find this course interesting. Hindi pa 100% ung MMA sa puso ko    pero iniisip ko po na kakayanin ko kaya? Hindi kaya ako maubusan ng ideas? Haha.

^ you`ll get mental block one way or another pero that doesn`t mean na ubos na talaga ang ideas mo. Titingin ka lang anywhere and you`ll have an idea no matter what.
