REMINDER TO ALL PHOTOSHOP USERS:

Adobe released Photoshop CS and CS2 na maraming bugs pa.. lalo na yung CS2. I suggest, especially sa new users or beginners, to use Photoshop 7.0 para walang problems on installing and using it. There are few.. as in FEW changes lang naman including warp and layout sa CS.

VEXEL TUTORIAL


1.) Choose an image, for starters, choose an image that doesn't have much facial expression and a close up picture is the most advisable one.

2.) Posterize the image (Image>> Adjustment>>Posterize)
   NOTE: the higher the layer, the more realistic your vector would look like

3.) The main agenda..VECTORING
   > Using the Pen tool[/u] : click this make selection paths on your image like so : click this and make sure to close the path like shown in the picture.
   > When you have closed the path, RIGHT click>>Fill Path
   > Repeat this process until the whole image is finished, make sure that the color you choose is close to the original color, or else your image would look funny
   
4.) Polishing the Vector
   > You may use the BURN,DODGE or SPONGE tool click this
 to play with the shadings, like i did with this one click this
   > For the hard to do bangs, here's a technique, use the SMUDGE tool click this
 change the Brush Preset if you want..

5.) Tips and Tricks
   - Start from the darkest shade to the lightest shade
   - Patiently outline the image, afterall, its such a great feeling doing a vector art
   - Choose the closest shade.. (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!)
   - Enjoy and have fun, dont stress yourself.

BRUSHES

>you can download brushes if you are not satisfied with the available brushes sa Photoshop. I have a couple of cool links sa front page where you can download brushes.
     •HOW WILL YOU LOAD YOUR BRUSHES ON PHOTOSHOP?
         1.) Select the brush tool,you will see sa Menu Bar [Brush, Mode,Opacity]
         2.) Click the "brush" option, tons of other brushes will appear
         3.) On the upper right nung "brush" option, you will see an arrow, click it and choose LOAD BRUSHES
        4.) Find the brushes you have just downloaded

 *FINISH LOADING YOUR BRUSH

brushes adds design to your images, just learn to explore and play with it

AVATARS
Note: The moving avatars are called animated gifs

I PRESUME YOU KNOW THE BASICS OF PHOTOSHOP

1.) Make layers sa Photoshop
         > i.e: Pictures mo, texts.. kaw ang bahala
2.) When finished with your layers (mas madali sa Photoshop gumawa ng layers) jump to
     Imageready (lower part ng Tool Bar)
3.) On the Imageready page:
          > Open your Animation "tool" bar (Windows >> Animation)
          > On the upper right of the Animation, you will see a small arrow
          > Click on the arrow, choose Make Frames from Layer. you will see that all the layers you made sa Photoshop nandun.
          > That's basically it. to test your .gif (dats what it is called) click the internet icon on the tool bar.
          >If you are satisfied, Save it as " Save Optimize as"

Your Done! if you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask

MAKE SURE: 75x75 ang size

1. Create a new Document.
2. Paste mo lahat dun ung mga pictures na gusto mong ianimate or pagsamasamahin.
3. Click mo ung Edit in Imageready na tool or just hit Shift+Ctrl+M.
4. Tapos sis makikita mo itong box na ito http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/9673/39747214ex6.jpg diba? so automatic ng may first frame. Dun sa first frame un ung unang lalabas na picture. So ang gagawin mo mamimili ka dun sa mga pictures na pinaste mo diba? so dun sa may layer pallets. Ganito ang itsura oh: http://img355.imageshack.us/img355/3023/81747635ew8.jpg yang box na yan. Napansin mo na binilugan ko ung mga eyes diba? Pag iclick mo un mawawala siya sa frame. Ung layer na kung saan mo clinick ung eye. Then create ka na ng new frame pag okay na ung first. To create a new frame http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/6641/46699564ic9.jpg ganyan. tapos so may new frame ka na diba? so gawin mo na gusto mo gawin. ito oh:

Use Adobe Imageready. :D Imageready is for animate pics. :)
