PLEASE READ THIS: 20-page Rule!

Hi, TeenTalkers!

If you've noticed, you've probably gotten the error message that says we're having technical difficulties often. This is because our server is getting overloaded.

I am suggesting the 20-page rule here in TeenTalk. It simply means that when a thread reaches 20 pages, the Administrators and Moderators will lock it. It'll be deleted a week after.  This is to keep the threads from ballooning up to 1000++ pages. As soon as your thread is locked, you can start another one.

Hopefully, if we start doing this, the message boards won't overload the servers anymore and we won't keep getting those error messages.

Oh, and we'll also implement a rule that newbies can only start their own threads after 15 posts on the boards. (And hopefully, they have read the House Rules already!)

Is that okay with you guys?

Please post here if you have any violent reactions (or even better, a suggestion to solve this overloading problem).

Oh. Does that mean we have to lock our thread in Who's Who if we reached more than 20 pages already?

Kasi po naglagay po kasi ng isang thread tungkol dito sa 20 page rule. And we stated our individual opionions there.

Hindi gagalawin ang Who's Who? Di ba sa Who's Who eh parang get to know thread and all. We can get to know each other through YM and friendster naman dba? I think it's unfair sa CC writers. Locking and throwing our story threads is a very harsh thing.

Actually, even Who's Who, I wanted to be part of the rule. But I told all the junior moderators that it's their call to decide whether or not a post should be included.

I think it's useless to keep everything[/]i and you'll end up not reading anything at all because half the time, the site is down.

Would you rather have every single post not deleted but TeenTalk will always be down. You won't be able to read your posts, anyway.

I've got an idea miss macy. How about after every 20 pages of their post, they'll create a new post?. For example in CC, the title of the story is "The Frog Prince". After fulfilling the 20pages, they'll just continue to another post. It would be like "The Frog Prince Continuation I, The Frog Prince Continuation II and so on and so forth" got me?. If it's just ok for us authors. Anyway, this is just a suggestion...

suggestion lng po,kung magdedelete kayo ng stories sa CC pwede po un nlng ung hindi na naaupdate for months?sayang kasi ung mga hirap at pagod namin sa mga stories tapos madedelete lng pala...kawawa din ungmga naghahabol pa lng o ung mga new readers kung madedelete tapos magsstart kami ng new topic db?nakakagulo na yun and they wont have any chance of reading what the start of the story was coz nadelete na nga...hope you'll consider CC as an exception to the 20-page rule...

anyway.. just a thought. Pwede po bang i-reconsider naman yung CC? I mean, pwede naman siguro i-implement yung rule sa ibang board, but pwede bang exemted yung Who's Who and Creative Corner? Every single reply kasi ng mga tambay ng CC, parang hindi sila kasi sang-ayon sa 20-page rule.

I was just thinking, kung maging exemted naman yung Creative Corner, kaming moderators ng CC eh mag-implement ng rule yung mga dead thread ng stories ang buburahin, in just a month. Then I'll try to convince them na gumawa ng personal site nila or blog para may copy sila ng stories nila. Pero wag naman po sana 20-page rule for the stories, ang hirap po kasi nito sa amin eh. It's hard to give excerpts ng story, lalo na kung medyo complicated yung plot mo. Stuff like that.

As for the new message of having an all-girl moderators, I'm not against it or anything, pero baka maging unfair naman sa mga guys na moderators since they were nominated right?
