Choosing your Degree Course?!! your decision or by your parents??

My Uncle's choice. And for 4 years, nahirapan talaga ako ng sobra. Di ko kasi talaga love ang ginagawa ko.

no choice. haha. un na lang kasi ung open sa comsci na course.

Pero may natutunan ako sa teacher ko sa isang review center. Sabi nya samin, kung may course na pinipilit yung parents, itake na daw. Kasi daw karamihan daw ng parents pinipili daw yung course para sa anak dahil daw sa malaki yung salary and such. Which makes sense right? Not all, but mostly. Ikaw naman din daw yung manginginabang sa money na makukuha mo. And then once na may money ka na, mag-aral ka nalang ulit for the course that you want.

Mom wants me to be a lawyer so she made me take Legal Management which every semester I spend with it makes me realize how I hate it. Dad on the other side, doesn't care about what's gonna happen in my life as long as I could be of some use.

I'm pretty sure my dad doesn't like the course I chose. :p But I guess they just went with it since they know I'm never gonna be successful for doing something I don't like. My course is Development Communication by the way!

Aunt's choice. But I didn't pass kasi may quota. So I went to some course na I don't know anything about. But I stopped. Tambay muna ako sa bahay for a year. Then I'd choose a course that I love.

Here's a little background. Both my parents are businessmen. I love fashion, writing talking(?) that's why my dad has always encouraged me to take up Journalism/Broadcast Comm/Clothing Technology. That's good, right? I get to do what I love! Guess what, I decided to go for Business Administration instead ((;

i chose it. my parents were a bit apprehensive about me taking up Film, but they went behind me and just supported it because they knew i was good at it... they even enrolled me in a bunch of workshops. i'm lucky my parents are pretty cool people.

for me, it should be agreed by both. sometimes, we want the course but it would be hard for the family to afford, if that's the case, we could get the course our parents want then pursue the course we want after graduating if we can already afford it.
