uhmmm i don't think it's necessary.. pero both proms na pinuntahan ko.. i got a date.. usually naman you attend to have fun naman.. before nga ang view ko.. prom's not really about dancing, but having fun with your friends. part lang kasi ang dancing. Yung iba they're just asking for a date para may company sila.. that's just it.

It depends on the culture of your school. In our school, prom date=bf/gf/mu.

If you have a prom date:
-expect to dance with him most of the time
-he's often with you during the night
-you're sure with your first and last dance

If you don't:
-gives more guys a chance to dance with you
-there's a small possibility that no one will dance with you on the last dance.
-bonding with friends

*Prom should be about enjoying the night; not showing off dates.

hmm, in my own opinion. Yes 
i mean its not neccessary but it is one in a lifetime experience minsan lang mangyayari to dba? and i guess, even though u have a prom date on that night. you can still hang out with your friends.. its just one of them days that you have to have one.. even your parents would want you to have one  its going to be one of them nights where the guy get to pick you up from your house.. your both nervous and all that. ang saya! and ofcourse, by the end of the night, dont forget to get your picture taken together

This coming February 6 is our prom, our first prom in our school.

As a pioneers, nagtanong kami sa faculty kung magaa-ask pa ng date before the prom. They said, sa mismong prom na magga-ganyan. We don't need to have a formally-asked dates beforehand.

The most important is, never be intimidated when asked by a boy to dance with you.

sa school ko nung high school ako hindi uso yung may date kasi may grand entrance kami sa umpisa nung prom..so kung sino yung tumapat sa amin na guy, yun na yung partner mo.. pero may time din naman na ayain mo yung gusto mo kasayaw o kausap.. kaya sa tingin ko, ayos lang kung walang date sa prom kasi hindi mo rin naman siya makakasama the whole time..pwede siyang isayaw o kausapain ng
