UPDATE: No More Survey Threads
« on: May 12, 2006, 05:09:49 pm »
I am Xyla. 22 years old. One of the old teentalkers who just got promoted to be a junior moderator (thanks to those who nominated me and trusted me). With me is Felisa who's a 19 year old girl and currently in her freshman year at the University of Washington.

In behalf of Felisa, I would like to ask for your cooperation and compliance with the house rules.

If you're unaware of it, please read it first before posting. Here's the link:
http://www.candymag.com/teentalk/index.php?topic=61775.0

Another thing, please refrain from posting in sticky caps and in text languages. It really gives everyone a headache in reading it.

Do not forget that Teentalk is a friendly zone so please don't bash a co-teentalker. Please always put respect in your hearts and in your minds. Just respect each others' opinions since all of us are entitled to have our own opinions. In that way, we would be able to avoid any misunderstandings.

If you have disagreements of some sort, please just pm each other rather than posting it in public. It's really not nice to read.

Please refrain from posting too many dieting threads. It really eats the space of the board. Before posting. Please do check if there's a similar thread. I'll try to put up a Body and Health directory so it woun't be a glinch in your part to look for those threads.

Also, when posting a thread, please type the real subject rather than posting "Help!", or "I have a problem here...".

And lastly, be careful in posting sensitive threads especially sex-related questions. If you are curious of something, you can ask me through PRIVATE MESSAGE since posting about sex-related topics is not allowed in Teentalk.

Hope you understand.

If you have problems related to health - meanig physiologically not something related to beauty, you can go ask me here:
http://www.candymag.com/teentalk/index.php?topic=82653.0
I'll try to answer your questions as soon as possible.

So that's it.

God Bless. Be healthy and be safe. Smiley

Much Love,
<3 Ate Xyla.

UPDATE: (May 16, 2006)

Xyla is going to take a leave from Teentalk. She has already done so much for this board! And she's not going to disappear forever -- she'll be back soon for all of you  ;) For the meantime, it's only going to be me (aznbelle89) who will be manning this board. Please bear with me!

I'm currently trying to merge similar threads, delete old threads and move some "lost" threads to other boards. I'm doing this on top of school (I'm not on summer break like most of you guys are) so I can't sweep everything up in just one day. Please be patient with me! I highly recommend that you take a look at the Body and Health Thread Directory (Xyla made it for you guys) before you make any new threads. It will help us (me and Xyla) greatly if we don't have to merge any more threads.

Also, I noticed that merging threads has kind of made the topic of the thread confusing for some -- I'm working on that too. I'm trying to add my own comments on the first page of every merged topic.

If you have any suggestions, comments or questions (or if you just want to say hey), feel free to send me a private message. I don't bite. I promise!  ;)

Oh, and if you guys and gals want, you can send Xyla a message and wish her luck -- she's going to take the local board exam soon!  :)

NEW RULES:
Avoid using this smiley ->  ::) <- unless you really have to and unless it actually has something to do with what you're saying.
For example: "Help me! I need to lose weight!  ::) "
That is so annoying and, sometimes, it can be construed as rude. And this does not apply solely to this board.

Avoid using way too many extra symbols.
For example: !!!!....~~i * want * to * lose * weight~~.....!!!!
It's very distracting and annoying. If we see a subject like that, we will immediately modify it. So please help make our jobs easier by not typing like that.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY FOLLOW THE HOUSE RULES AND THE BOARD RULES.  :)

Hey girls (and guys). I am back. Board exam is over. So I am back in the Teentalk business.

Anyways, let me remind you guys that Primp and Pamper is totally different from Body and Health Board. This board is more on physiological problems than aesthetic ones. Please follow the rules.

And thanks to Felisa and to other Teentalkers who never tried to disobey the rules. Thank you and have a healthy life. :)

Please refer to the Thread Directory first before putting up a thread.

Welcome our newest junior mod, alynnah aka Doc Anton. :)

The General Dieting, Eating Disorders and Sex Education Thread has been removed from the sticky topics. Please take time to check the Directory. Thank You.

I must say that as much as we try to be patient with the newbies, this is getting out of hand. We have a directory. If that's not enough, you can use the search engine before making a new thread.

What should we do with the newbies who make redundant threads?

Should we immediately delete/remove their threads from the board?
Should we instantly lock their threads?
Or should we play nice by locking their threads and leaving a link to the other threads?

We have mostly been doing the last one. But it is getting tiring and frustrating. Please feel free to give us suggestions.
