Ahh ok. Thank you ate :) So it means that it's not a quota course? :) Hmm... Itatake ko 'to sa Diliman. Thank you again ate :)

Yep! It's not a quota course. At first, natakot ako kasi akala ko hindi siya med related but it turned out that most of my classmates were going to med school tapos yung mga ibang Bio students nagshishift din sa course namin. Very practical kasi siya may anatomy and physiology din kami pero nutrition-centered. Yey! Happy to have helped you :D

Ahh. Yehey! Thank you talaga ate :D So it means na mas madali siyang ipasa kaysa sa ibang pre-med courses. And kahit di na ako magshift sa pre-med makakapag Med pa din ako. Yey! Thank you very much :D ;D

Hey guys! I'm currently a college senior taking up AB Psychology and I'm thinking of going to med school. To do that, obviously, I'm gonna need pre-med electives, which, unfortunately, my course doesn't have.  I only have 1 year left before I graduate and it's gonna be a heavy year and I'm not sure if I can fit in anymore pre-med electives.

So my question is, does anyone know what students who took "unconventional" pre-med courses must do to keep up with the workload of med school? I mean, hahabulin ba namin yung pre-med electives na kulang namin while studying the lessons taught in med school? Any advice would be helpful :) Deciding whether to go to med school or not is so confusing  :-\

Thanks guys :)

hmmmm....i know my reply is too late for your anxiety about non-conventional pre-meds,,,,but you know what,,,everyone can be a doctor,,,trust me,,i have a friend who is a recent physician passer and now a doctor that she had classmates  who took business ad and accountancy but chose to study med because that's what they wanted and now they are redident doctors,,,though their course didn't had much enough foundation to make through in med school,,,but nothings impossible if you really want something....psychology is better than accountancy and business ad and still also you need to take some subject to complete your reqiurements to enable to continue in med proper....

i hope what i have informed you helped you out....goodluck!! :)
just fiinish your year and graduate in your chosen course and continue medicine...I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT ! :)

Hello! Anyone who has tried applying in medical schools abroad? or in the US?

I am thinking of applying, however, I have no idea how they do it or what schools are good. Is it difficult to be accepted? Is their entrance exam difficult?

Hi Ate Hya! Gusto ko sana sa UST din mag med like you. Kaya lang hindi ako sure kung magttake pa ako ulit ng NMAT. On my 2nd take I got 88. May pag-asa na ba ako? Or should I take it for the 3rd time?
Btw.. I'm did not take my premed in UST and I don't have any immediate relatives who are alumni of UST.... They said these are included in the basis for admitting med students... What do you think?

hi! i'm taking BS PSYCH as my pre-med course at UST. incoming 2nd yr.

may question lang sana... since di sufficient yung mga subjects namin to prepare us for med, advisable ba ng mag take up ako ng Comparative Anatomy? or can you suggest other subject that would prepare me for med? i'm thinking of taking up Comp ana next summer.
