Merged: Review Centers and Tutorial Services (MSA, AHEAD, Etc.)

review centers aint gonna give you miracles. passing the entrance exams depends on your stock knowledge plus some luck from school. reviews will just refresh whatever you have there.

those who will benefit from reviews are people who have amassed a lot of info that they tend to forget the ones needed in the exams.

tutorials are only for people who are determined to give listening a second time/chance. tutorials should be teaching the underlying concepts which apparently, in the classroom, sometimes isn't taught properly.

Hi everyone. Incoming 4th year high school student here next year. I inquired at Expert Guides (haha, early ano) today, and hindi na bukas ang sa Alvero, only sa Park 9 nalang. Haha, share lang. Hopefully my vacation would be productive this summer.

Entrance exams usually challenge logic and common knowledge not necessarily very technical stuff

Sa pagkaalam ko, the entrance exams was designed to pick people are are the most with potential (mautak), and not the people who are knowledgeable (may alam)

Theres a program called Dale Carnegie Speech Program. I took it when I was in first year high school. It was helpful. They taught us how to communicate well, how to look confident in interviews and such. You can also try John Robert Powers.

Uy merong opening sa AHEAD looking for lecturers from UP, ATENEO and La Salle apply kau, they are also looking for Review Assistants para sa summer review.. good nmn ang pay and isa pa mababait ung mga tao.

why not try enrolling at Speechpower? Ayon sa my friend's experience, effective yung class. If you are within qc area, there is a branch along Aurora ave. Mura lang, around 6k yata.

Nagreview din ako sa Expert Guides. It's cheaper there, I think. Lalo na if marami kayo. 'Cause us, we were 10 noon. Eh kapag 5 kayong sabay-sabay nag-enroll, may discount or special price. And mas marami yung hours so kool. B)


Magagaling teachers diyan. Kailangan mo lang labanan yung urge mong makipagdaldalan, magtext, etc. It helped me naman. Yung mga tinuro nila lumabas sa test and meron silang binibigay na activity book (lol parang bata) na may solutions. Really awesome.

nagreview ako sa MSA last year..12k sya for 40hrs LANG! so ngayon masmahaba na hours 15k na ata  disappointed ang marami sa naging lectures namin! kulang sa oras ang review nila kaya nagextend kami pero hindi pa rin ganun ka-intense yung inaasahan namin na mabibigay samin ng MSA...pero kung sa modules, comprehensive modules nila..siguro kung 1-on-1 maganda result sa MSA but that would cost you a lot. nagreview ulit ako sa Ahead last year and ang laki ng difference.

i would also suggest UPlink, Newton(now they have higher fee na rin  ) and Expert Guide..Economical fee ng tatlong yag pero marami na akong napagtanungan jan and OK naman.In fact naenroll ko na brother ko sa UPlink

Is it really necessary to review? Because a lot of the people I asked who reviewed in MSA said na I should just consider self-study.
