opo, yung lecturers kasi galing sa UP, ATENEO tsaka sa iba pang top schools kaya yung lectures galing talaga dun. may review kit kami ehh, para syang book na puro tests tapos yun yung sasagutan and pagrereviewhan nyo. ibibigay rin naman yung answer key tapos my simulation tests din. okay naman. tapos na nga yung group namin eh

I actually went to MSA this May lang, and I have to say, kahit na mahal sya and stuff and apparently magaling daw, ganyan, hindi ako 100% satisfied sa review na nakuha ko. When I took the diagnostic, it was so hirap, and I expected na pagdating ng mock test mag iimprove ako like, ng mga 20% and stuff, kasi nga apparently maganda dun and stuff diba? anyway my improvement from DT to MT was 13% lang and I was so disappointed. quoting from the MSA Website:

It guarantees that any student in an MSA preparation course who passes the simulated tests be assured of enrollment in the college or university he or she prefers.
...
MSA is also proud of consistently producing topnotch examinees and of maintaining a 100 percent passing rate among enrollees who meet MSA's College and High School Entrance Test Review standard.

For the DT, the passing was 50% (which I passed, pasang awa as in 50 talaga) and 60% for the MT (you can guess how much I got). Apparently pumasa ako sa 'standards' nila and it was an OK score that I got, pero I'm still not pleased that I did not deliver much better results. So reading from the above quotes dapat pasado na ko diba? pero duda pa rin ako kasi yung mga reviewers na nakuha ko from them mejo mahirap pa rin sagutan eh.

Although I'm not happy with my mt results, I have to say na hindi rin all bad yung review. It was a little basic nga lang, but our English teacher was very professional and I think he really tried to emulate the feel of a real classroom (may pa ranking ranking pa sya) and talagang tinuro nya yung mga kelangan nya ituro. Yung 'curriculum' naman namin was ok, kasama pa yung abstract and logical reasoning and very importantly, ESSAY WRITING. Yung math one important thing that was lacking was the training for kung pano sumagot ng word problems. sabi pa nung math teacher ko boring daw yun. Fortunately for me, word problems have always been my forte in math. Also approachable naman sila you can ask if you didn't understand the lesson or what not. Mejo yun science um hindi ganon ka ganda talaga yung review. Parang dinaanan din lang damin yung module and the teacher did not get into any detailed explanations pa about it or what, lalo na nung Physics.
And onga pala, after you take the MT they discuss to you the items so di ka naman parang "huh, ano daw?" so mejo gets mo parin after.

But I have to say, ang dami naman naming nakuhang materials like mga 7+ reviewer books plus 7 CETP Modules. Plus notebook pa and a thick english handbook, math reviewer, trigo 'cheat sheet' etc., which you can use at a later date to refresh you (ako I hven't answered anything in it's entirety and I'm leaving it to review mga 3 weeks before the UPCAT) and the module is, in fact, comprehensive nga naman. The only thing wrong with the modules was that kung sa practice tests ay hindi binigay nung teacher yung sagot, di mo machecheck kung tama answer mo. Marami pa namang practice tests and quizzes so mejo hirap kang hulaan kung correct ba answer mo or not kasi walang answer key (don't worry yung reviewer books na different from module meron namang answer key) So I guess the teachers were the ones na hindi talaga na meet yung expectations ko and not the materials 'cause the materials were good.


Anyway nag monologue na ako and I hope na kahit huli na (i doubt they still have schedules na available) makatulong ung experiences ko sa review sa pagpili ninyo ng review center, lalo na kung msa.

sis parehong pareho tayo ng opinion dyan sa MSA. ang laki ng expectation ko sa kanila but i was not satisfied. i reviewd there last march24-apr11. bumalik ako last may26 for extended session. akala ko pag balik ko masok na yung paglecture nila, hindi din pala...nung una kasi inisip ko 1st batch kame kaya siguro magiimprove pa sila pero di din pala. masminadali na nga nila yung lessons. ok sana yung modules nila,as in ok na ok, kaya lang pagdating sa discussions wala na..... i think ang problem sa kanila kung bakit marami ang di satisfied is yung TIME nila, di ba kasi 52hours lang sila, kahit nagextend sila bitin pa rin yung time nila compared sa ibang review centers na 80+hours. kaya maikli lang oras nila kasi marami silang "batch". para tuloy hindi na sila "after the service"... 


kaya tuloy ngayon, yung modules na lang ang pakikinabangan ko.yung mga practice test nga dun karamihan lalo na sa math e hindi man lang inindicate nor diniscuss yung answers ano ba naman yan.  yung isa kong reviewmate nagreview ulit sa AHEAD, ang laki daw ng pinagkaiba. ako tuloy nagbabalak na magreview ulit, either sa ahead or uplink. i was too disappointed with MSA. 


lahat ng opinion mo sis katrina is not just an opinion, it's a fact, sad to say...naexperience ko/namin din yan..ang dame ko pa naman schoolmates na nagreview dun,from bulacan pa naman kameng lahat tapos ganyan lang nangyari...

actually sis nahihiya lang ako iadmit sa sarili ko at sa parents ko na rin dahil mahal talaga. sa totoo lang feeling ko binigyan lang ako ng books at tinuruan ng konti. nagsisi nga ako na msa pinili ko msa kesa ahead eh. imagine katapat lang namin yung ahead sana dun nalang ako. kasi diba ang daming books ng msa kaya kala mo ganda nung review, pero sobrang disappointing talaga, grabe. and hindi ko alam na 80+ hours pala yung iba! sama naman ng loob ko akala ko ganon lahat. pero in fairness to them, muka namang mas marami akong natutunan kesa sa classmates ko na sa iba nag review. yun nga lang hindi pumasa sa expectations ko yung pinaka sessions. eh ako pa naman taas ng expectations ko sa lahat ng bagay. hehehe.

hay nakoh sis disappointed talaga kameng lhat dun.. di man lang kasi naglecture muna bago magbigay ng exams. ang ugali nila dun pagpasok mo pa lang exams agad,pag di pa kapos sa oras ieexplain pag kapos na sori na lang intindihin mo mag-isa mo. ni hindi nila binibigay correct answers. ngaun i'm reviewing sa ahead, tama ang reviewmates ko ang laki ng kaibahan nila. nxt wik dadaan ako sa msa magrerequest ako ng answer keys whether they agree or not! i paid them 12k and i hate  that it seems  to be i wasted my money. buti n lng naback-off ko pa ung ung refresher ko dahi kung may refresher 18k lahat2- e di ipangrereview ko na lang ulit yung dapat sa refresher. i'll just use my msa modules wisely, i hope so....

nxt wik dadaan ako sa msa magrerequest ako ng answer keys whether they agree or not! i paid them 12k and i hate  that it seems  to be i wasted my money. buti n lng naback-off ko pa ung ung refresher ko dahi kung may refresher 18k lahat2- e di ipangrereview ko na lang ulit yung dapat sa refresher. i'll just use my msa modules wisely, i hope so....

I am Michelle Ann Rio and I would like to share with you my experience with Loyola Student Center or LSC. I was in my second year high school in Assumption College when I tried it. Math has always been my problem subject. One time I had this very long lesson which couldn't fit the time alloted for me. That was a Friday. The Ortigas Branch at that time is closed during Sundays and so I was advised to go to their Katipunan Branch and be tought by someone else. The one who taught me (not good in remembering names) is like the head of their math department. She's really old during that time. The lesson was really hard for me to comprehend and so I was having a hard time. She made me answer a test she prepared. When I kept on asking questions she told me "putang ina". The session ended but I felt really uncomfortable all throughout. I told my mom and she tried to complain but they didn't want to believe.

you should call the head office and ask for the PR person or something. And complain directly, if it still bothers you until now. I also read in a magazine that sending a letter is a good way to complain, though they could always not reply.

hindi ba talaga maayos sa MSA? kasi sa ahead ako nag review. Maganda talaga sa ahead, kasi magegets mo yung lesson agad. yung iba ko na classmates na sa iba nagreview parang wala lang. kasi daw lectures lang na wala man lang activities. Sa ahead kasi may mga activities kami kaya masaya tsaka madami ka matututunan. nung first 3days puro diagnostic test, after nun, sinagutan at inexplain samin yung correct answers pati kung pano nakuha yun etc. sa july27 nga may refresher kami eh, okay naman. goodluck po sa mga nagrereview!

Nung summer nag review ako sa Expert Guides. Sobrang worth it yung binayaran niyo promise. Kasi sa simula discussion tapos may test after tapos after isagot yung test ididiscuss lahat ng answers dun sa test. Tas yung mga mock exam din dinidiscuss and ibibigay sainyo yung copy ng mga lahat ng sinagotan niyo. Plus sa end ng review bibigyan pa kayo ng advance excercises na booklet in math, science and english lahat may answer key sa booklet na yun. Tapos may dalawang modules: Math, Science&English. Swerte niyo kapag si Sir Rai yung naging teacher niyo dahil lagi siyang may technique sa pagssolve pero naging teacher ko lang siya nung refresher eh. Tas kungyari absent ka tapos diba may namiss kang mga test bibigyan ka rin ng copy ng answer key para sa namiss mong test.
