the activities/training depends on the college/univ you'll be attending.  the exposure to different people, situations, personalities can help you get over your bashfulness.

i agree, it's a great advantage kung hindi ka mahiyain on the first place and you have talents in SPEAKING, WRITING and ENGLISH.  it's plus points if you're fluent in it.

hey, if you're not sure with masscom, then.... it's your prerogative to push through with it or not... :)

once again, it depends on the univ/college, subjects taken, professors....

a LOT of papers (usually minimum of 3 or 5 pages)
a simple class finishes as a debate
speaking in front of a lot of people
papers
researcing
reporting
papers
speaking
....A LOT OF FUN!

Broadcast com is just one of the many majors you can pursue when you take up Masscom.
along with Advertising Management, Corporate Communication, Journalism, etc
You're not a failure unless you start blaming everyone else around you.

My sis took up a double mjr in advertising and business mgmt in admu.  Well she really loved her course while taking it up, hands down.

Pero advice nya sakin don't take up comm, business mgmt, marketing mgmt, advertising.  kasi daw it's more of a training skill job.  Pagnagaapply ka ng job, yung bibigay sayo ng mga companies ay the trainee or lowest position which they'll accept anyone of any course graduate, depende nlng sa standard ng firm kung anong grade ang cut-off nila.

gets sis? prng if Girl A is grad of psychology grad and Girl B is a comm arts grad, tapos nagapply kami sa, let's say, adformatics, we'd be open for the same job title.  the trainee. kasi yung promotions ay based sa experience mo.  pero still, as GirlA grad psychology, pwede siyang magapply for a position in the human resource dept.  gets?

yung kukunin mong course is yung where you develop a specific skill na nagagawa lang talaga through a degree.  unlike sa comm arts, pwedeng idevelop through work itself nalang which is yun ang hinahanap.

hehe.. advice lng yan ah, don't get angry! hahaha... if you really wanna, gooooo...

^UP Diliman. Center of Excellence yan.  ;)

Kung interested kayo sa comm courses, try niyo Organizational Communication sa UP Manila. It's a business course that deals with communication. Holistic ang approach kasi both oral and written skills ang iniimprove. Plus, there's a little bit of everything kaya maraming job opportunities after.
You know you want me to shoot you.
