Actually sis, I understand what you mean.  What I'm trying to say lang is that you can become an FA even if you are not a tourism major.  Hindi kasi yun isa sa mga requirements.  The other things that you need to learn about being an FA will be taught to you once you undergo training with the Airline.  That is why you have to be physically fit kasi patatalunin pa raw sa airplane, yan mga things na dapat matutunan.

Mahirap makapasok sa airline, kung minsan swerte nalang siguro kasi hindi naman lahat ng FA na nakikita ko magaganda.  Importante na pleasant ka, pero may nakikita rin ako na hindi naman masyadong mabait.  Depende talaga

yup, i undestrand din sis.. napanoo dko rin ung sa GMA na fineature ung mga FA and may point ka din dun sa ituturo din sa mga future FAs ung dapat nilang malaman... And I have to agree, meron mga FA na swerte nlng tlga kung makapasok.. pero kung wla ka tlga sa height di pwede.. dapat din daw yata wlang masyadong peklat or talgang wlang peklat kasi nashare nung Professor namin na chinecheck daw tlga ung skin mo.. hay! mahirap tlgang makapasok, pero syempre kung may Karapatan ka naman at alam mong kaya mo...GO! hehe!

kailangan ba talagang flawless ka sa legs, knees and feet?
kasi usually may stockings naman mga FA diba?

i saw one FA sa airport last month and she wore a veeery mini skirt, and a panty hose..i wonder what airline she works for.. kasi para siyang very trendy eh. Wala lang, nasanay akong very formal sa uniform ang ibang airlines.

To the aspiring flight attendants here, I suggest that you better start taking care of your "physical" appearance now that you're still young. My brother who happens to be a flight steward for PAL told me that they(P.A.L) are SUPER DUPPER STRICT when they hire their flight attendants. They first check your appearance. You MUST HAVE A CLEAR COMPLEXION. NOT necessarily FAIR or WHITE type of skin(kahit light brown basta clear). NO scars, and acne marks must bee seen and MUST have a nice set of teeth(as in pearly white). Braces or retainers are allowed too. For your sight, contact lens and glasses are also not allowed. A 20/20 vision is a MUST. Philippine Airlines has their own height scale. for girls, you need to be at least 5'3 in height. PERIOD. For guys, 5'6. PERIOD. Also, you cannot be too fat or skinny. While being trained(IQ,GROOMING,EMERGENCY DRILLS), you need to past 90% minimum as for service training(cocktail mixing,etiquette ect) an 80% is your target score. MOST OF ALL, you need to have the right attitude...that is to be sosyal and jologs both at the same time...haha..goodluck to all. I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST:)

I noticed that strict ang PAL talaga.  Sa ibang airlines mas lenient sa physical appearance, sa northwest nalng hindi naman magaganda ang FA

^yeah, a bunch of asian airliners have pretty and young FAs, but when i got on SAS (Scandinavian airlines) the FAs were pretty old.. like in their 30s.

american flight attendants are very unattractive compared to asian flight attendants who are really attractive hahaha...my personal favorite f/a's are from Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Asiana and of course Philippine Airlines
