It was the last day of his trip when he got lazy and tired to write the last song. Knowing he has one last song to write, pressure came into him and ended up writing it for 2 days. Words just came out of his head and ended up with the song. He says that it turned out to be magical.

The first song he ever wrote was for his wife 5 years ago. He attempted to sing it to her in a cold night; it was so cold he wasn't able to sing at all.

It's Jason's first trip to Manila and the farthest he's gone away from home.

He tried to finish college with a scholarship but wasn't able to do so because he couldn't live without music. With the time limit he had, he had to let go from his band and be on his own.

He used to be shy during interviews but got used to them along the way.

He doesn't really like eating seafood.

Catch Jason live on stage at Glorietta 5 Atrium, March 19, 6pm; The Terraces Ayala Center Cebu, March 20, 8:30pm; Market! Market! Activity Center, March 21, 6pm.

The Big Bad World Wide Web

Stealing Lives

"Sometimes, I don't know when there's a new 'me' out there; people just tell me about it," says sportscaster and TV host Lia Cruz. She first found out when pals added her fake Friendster accounts and wrote testimonials. "When my friends mentioned it to me, I was flabbergasted that these accounts actually existed."

Lia's fake accounts can be found in blogs, e-mail addresses, and instant messengers. "At first, I was annoyed-and I still get annoyed from time to time-but I've learned to brush it off more easily now." Although Lia's impersonators have never been caught, she's guessing that they're "all female and below the age of 20," the typical fan age group of popular rock band Sponge Cola, whose vocalist, Yael Yuzon, is her boyfriend. "I think the only reason the accounts were created was that these young girls pine for Yael," Lia imparts lightheartedly. "So at one point, I really felt that the interest was undue and invasive."
...

Shooting Stars

It was the most exciting text message. I'd ever received. I couldn't believe it was actually for me! I thought I received it by accident, but there it was actually for me! I thought I received it by accident, but there it was in my inbox: "Hey are you doing anything tomorrow? Do you want to shoot the pictures for our album inlay?"

Pedicab, my favorite local band since 2005, wanted me, their biggest fan, to shoot for their second album, Shinji Ilabas Mo Na Ang Helicopter. No way. I'd been going to their weekend gigs for more than a year and I'd come to be quite good friends with some of them. I knew they had seen my pictures, but I was sure that I wasn't nearly good enough for what they were asking of me. I had to ask, "Are you serious?" several times before I could believe it, and after about 30 minutes of joyous celebration, I remembered that I had never shot anything truly serious in my life.
...

Nine First Date Don'ts

Join me on a trip down memory lane as I fondly recall my first date: the soft candlelight... the romantic strains of the violin... the atrocious cologne I wore... the piece of lettuce struck between my teeth... that wonderfully explosive flambé... the moonlight ride to the ER... Alright, that was sort of an exaggeration—except for the cologne part (sigh), and probably the lettuce too—but that first date was definitely unforgettable. So unforgettable, in fact, that she never agreed to a second. But hey, if you want to make your first date memorable for all the right reasons, we list nine things—from the iffy to the downright creepy—that you shouldn't do.
...
