When you look upon empty faces,
Just passing by,
Knowing you’ll probably never see them again,
It makes you want a friend.
When you see them staring at you,
Like they want you to know,
Hating you with nothing better to do,
It makes you need a friend.
When you see a blank face,
You help them or say something,
And suddenly you see their face clearly,
It makes a friend.
When you notice a need or hurt,
You nurse it and stick by them,
And the person smiles at you in thanks,
It makes you a friend.
