Hello, my dear Candy girls!
Tell me, what do you do when you're stuck in a rut? What do you do when you wake up and you don't want to get up. You want to just stay under the covers because when you're wrapped in them, you feel safe. Tell me, because I've forgotten how it is to pick myself up and switch back to happy-mode.
Fortunately, the Candy girls and I have been excitedly talking about the different TV series that have premiered this month. I'm a TV series junkie—following as many as three shows before. This time, I've added a few more to my list. I hope a local channel picks up these shows soon! I absolutely adored the Pushing Daisies pilot. It reminded me of the movie Amélie, which I loved to death. It helps me think that there are things to be happy about in life. It doesn’t matter that you have problems (hello, everyone has them!), it's how you deal that's important..
I started this letter feeling down, but I think my mood is starting to pick up. But if you have any ideas for a quick pick-me-up, e-mail me! ;) I'd love to hear from you. See you online!

This book is a good introduction to philosophy for the youth. Albert Knox, the philosopher, talks about philosophers like Descartes, Aristotle, and Plato. You will be amazed about reading the letters to Sophie, with questions such as "Aren’t you astonished that world actually exist at all?" or a question as weird as "Why are horses the same?" You will find quotes like "Wisest is she who knows she does not know" and lines like "You are as strange as a Martian" and "Ladies and Gentlemen, we are floating in space!" So grab your copy now and be amazed! Just don't feel too bad, girls, that according to Aristotle, women are incomplete unlike men are.—Alex Gaborni
