This is How You Get Your Grad Pic Right
With a little pat and highlight, then going ~viral~.

In the month where many high school and college seniors are grad-waiting, you'll be seeing a lot of graduation pictures on your feed because of these excited seniors. But it looks like Polytechnic University of the Philippines student, Janssen Mendoza, did something right with her grad pic that international magazines like Seventeen and Teen Vogue took notice of her. And it's all because she took her glam shot to the next level by posing with her fave Anastasia Beverly Hills highlighter!

Being a budding makeup artist, she definitely took her love for makeup and translated it into a memorable graduation picture that speaks a thousand words. If you're still planning for your own glam shot and have no clue what to do, take your cue from this girl with these three things she did right!

  1. Find some inspiration and make your own version of your chosen favorite.

There's no harm in just looking for inspiration. It certainly doesn't mean you're a copycat! Great ideas can come from a bit of inspiration observing the things, people, and events around you.

"This girl posted her senior photo putting an eyeshadow. So I decided to have my own version" Janssen Mendoza

  1. The simpler, the better.

It doesn't have to involve so many props. There's beauty in being minimalist, so choose your props wisely, Candy Girls! Your props should complement you rather than upstaging you.

  1. Choose a concept that means something to you.

Janssen posted this picture to prove a point that she could pursue her love for makeup while excelling in academics.

"I'm a full scholar and a candidate for honors. I just want to prove to others that I can do both." –Janssen Mendoza
