The selection has been made, the games are over, and as the dust settles while Dave Agbayani sits on the iron throne as the Chosen Juan, Juanderlust is slowly coming to fruition.
To recap, Juanderlust: 80 Wonders in 80 Days is the brain child of TravelBook.ph, an online hotel booking website, and StopSleepGo.com, a Philippine and UK-based vacation rental website.It is an online competition in search of the Chosen Juan from around the world, who will explore the Philippines in an all-expense paid, 80-day trip of a lifetime.
Now let’s talk about our Chosen Juan. Dave Brylle Agbayani is a graduate of BS Chemical Engineering from the University of the Philippines and hails from Valencia, Bukidnon, which he visits when he gets the chance. Dave beat out over 800 candidates from over 13 countries including Spain and USA with his quick wit and cleaver quips.
As the Chosen Juan, Dave will become the new voice of Philippine travel. He will help promote the Philippines with focus on people, food, culture, and undiscovered places. He will do this by documenting his journey through TravelBook.ph and StopSleepGo.com's blog which will also be shared via social media. Parts of his journey will be chronicled by some of Summit Media’s digital titles as well.
Aside from his trip, Dave will be given a PHP 100,000 cash prize at the end of his 80-day journey on May 23, 2016. He will also receive a Pioneer Travel Buddy Adventure Insurance Plan, which will cover his 80 days of travel, as well as a Travel Light Worldwide Insurance Plan all worth PHP 1,000,000 coverage. All of Dave’s flights will be free and booked through Cebu Pacific via GetGo points.
