Worth visiting because: Chix and Treats offers good food reminiscent of that lutong-bahay flavor. Not too far from prominent universities such as UP Diliman and Ateneo de Manila University, students and teachers alike frequent this place to get their fill of satisfying but healthy-on-the-pocket dishes.
Candy recommends: Their crispy chicken fingers, squid fries, chicken and pork inasal, and pandan iced tea.
When to go there: After hanging out in UP’s Sunken Garden or Ateneo’s Bellarmine field.

Location: Gateway Mall Food Court, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City

Worth visiting because: It’s one of the few Japanese fast food places in town.
Candy recommends: Their best-selling shrimp tempura and California maki.
When to go there: Indulge in their Jap specialties before catching a movie in Gateway Cineplex.
