Anna Kendrick shares some of her cringe-worthy dating experiences and the choices she made when she hit her mid-20s in her memoir, Scappy Little Nobody, saving us so we won't have to make the same ones. Here's some of the advice she gave that makes us want to snag a book for ourselves! (via teenvogue.com)
- Ditch the guys that makes you feel worse instead of feeling better.
It's important that the person you are with in the relationship helps you be a better version of yourself instead of dragging you down.
- Don't go after people who aren't interested in you.
Don't be a martyr, you deserve someone who loves you the same way you love them.
- Know when you are in an abusive relationship.
"Ladies, if you ever date a guy who shows up at your apartment uninvited, or calls you from someone else's phone when you block his number, or inspires you to attach a little can of Mace to your key ring, tell your friends! They will help you! If a guy threatens self-harm, or tells that you are the crazy one and all your friends are on his side, they aren't!"
- "Your friends want to help you!"
Friends, family, anyone who's close to you in general. Have some faith in them because all they want is what's best for you.
Who knew Anna Kendrick had so many life lessons to impart? These are definitely sensible advice you'd get from an older sister!
