Meet the Parents…and the titos, titas, cousins, etc.
Talk about being on pins and needles! I might as well be a voodoo doll. Set to meet Carlo’s whole clan in a couple days and I am a wreck!
It’s like the first day of the school, or at camp or at a new neighborhood. I need so desperately to be accepted. The impression that I make that first five, 10 minutes that they see and talk to me is crucial. It’s make or break, it’s love or hate.
After that first meeting, they will either set Carlo up on future dates or marry us off. 
They will either say, “What a keeper” or “Forget her.”
Now, I know that the only foolproof way to impress someone is to be yourself. But how much of yourself can you really reveal when you’re given only a single evening to spend with them? How will you be able to show them the real you? Then again, given all of your little quirks and weirdness, would you even really want to?

Hey there Katie! Since you already know that the only way you can truly impress anyone is to be yourself, I’d just advice that you be yourself and still be aware of your actions, without being too scrupulous that you forget to enjoy. Try starting up the conversation with something that is relative, like the weather or something, then go on from there… Kaya mo yan!

the best adivice is to be just yourself. Dont try to be someone who is so not you. If you can accept yourself, then Carlo’s family can also accept you.

I agree… being yourself is the best thing you can do right now…:)
(but if your REAL self sure has a lot of flaws and downhills, they just have to accept your true self…)

Regarding with the sept issue…
I have also that secret which my love and I only knows…
I’m also afraid to reveal it to my parents..
But i also want them to know that i love this guy so much…
i can’t find any way, how to say it to my parents…

don’t carlo’s parents already know you, katie? since you used to be really good choldhood friends and all. but anyways, you shouldn’t have to worry about pleasing them or meeting their standards…just one look at how happy their son has become since being with you, and they’ll know that he has made the right choice.Ü
just don’t forget to have fun at that family dinner/lunch/breakfast/picnic/barbeque you and carlo are going to…remember, everybody loves to laugh!

It’s hard to meet the parents. Yeah. I guess that’s kinda pressuring. And there was one time when this guy friend of mine told me he had a crush on me… and 5 days later, he introduced me to his dad! It’s really pressuring…
