"Growing up, I struggled with my confidence," actress and host Jasmine Curtis-Smith admits. "I was always known as the little sister of my ate (Anne Curtis), and for a while that was a challenge to deal with. I would always be compared to her." Jasmine eventually shook her doubts off by reassuring herself that she was her own person. "I just decided not to let the expectations get to me," she says. "I learned to value above all the opinions of the people who love me. They’re the ones who really matter."
For blogger and designer Laureen Uy, you are responsible for your own confidence. Sharing that she gets a lot of questions from her blog readers about overcoming their insecurities, she says, "Confidence and style go hand in hand. When you know that you're dressing up well and taking good care of yourself, your confidence will naturally come from that. It should always start with you."
