If Only I Had The Chance To Say Goodbye

When letting go means not having the chance to say goodbye.

"Is this how it works? They just leave? It's not you, it's me. Then they just walk out the door?" That line came from a heartbreaking scene in a previous episode of Pretty Little Liars when Caleb Rivers broke up with Hannah Marin.

I know that kind of feeling.  It's like you're falling apart and you still wanted to fix things, but he won't let you. The kind of feeling that you don't have any choice but to let go. The difference between me and Hannah is that she had a chance to say goodbye to Caleb. She didn't want to end the relationship, but she knew that she had to.

I didn't have a chance to say goodbye to him. We parted ways without seeing each other. Yes, what you're thinking is exactly what happened. He ended our relationship through a text message. I begged him to at least fix things or say goodbye to each other personally, but he didn't want to, so I didn't force him. Until now, I am still waiting for that time to come. To say goodbye to him because maybe, just maybe it will serve as a key for me to finally let go.
