Shopper's turf. I used to be a sucker for Topshop, Zara and Dorothy Perkins, but now I check out local stores too! I love dept. stores, and of course, every closet's staple, F21 items.
Always wearing... Earrings!!!
Mom's love. My mom inspires me. She's so beautiful and she knows it! :) HAHA! I love how she feels so good in her skin. Also, our blog is my inspiration, and the readers who support us. They make me want to fight the good fight of body image and self-esteem, which are two issues worth fighting (and beautifying) for!
Fashion icons. Most of them are fashion bloggers. Delmy from fashion bananas, and Kelly from theglamourai. I also love Sakina from saksinthecity and Gabi from youngfatandfabulous. Most of the time I check out fat-shion bloggers because I love how they bring it! It's also a nice breather from all the stick images of women I see everywhere, everyday.
Oldies but goodies inspired. My vintage fixation. I loved the 50s (way up to the 70s) as long as I can remember! From the music, to the glamour, to the style. Everything! That era really influences the way I select my closet pieces.
Neutral palette. I have a lot of browns, blacks, and blues. Most are neutral ones so I can mix and match. But I ain't afraid of color and prints! ;)
The basics. Oxford polos, flats, and denims.
Comeback trend! I think most trends from the past are being seen today, and I like it! I like the diversity. It's gives everyone an opportunity to be stylish yet unique. But I really like how the 50s turban is making it's way into today's fashion scene.
Hand-me-downs. I have a lot of things from my lola!!! But my favorite piece is her 30-year old gold earrings. They match any outfit I'm in! I also have her high-waist trousers (in blue, maroon and red) which she used to rock back in the 70s! I love how she took care of her clothes. :) I should probably do the same for my future offsprings. HAHA :)
