Boho chick. I don't get to wear it that often though because going boho usually entails a lot of elaborate pieces, and it would be difficult to wear to school. I have a love for vintage too. It's like my safety blanket when I don't know what to wear. But really, my style is quite flexible especially because I enjoy mixing and matching the stuff in my closet.
Smart shopper. I love a good bargain! I really enjoy bazaars and tiangges. My friends also know me as an "ukay queen" simply because thrift stores excite me. It's always a good place to look for nice vintage clothes. But otherwise, Forever 21 and Topshop are a few of my favorites.
Fave fashion designers. I find Anna Sui's collections lots of fun. I also like Marc Jacobs. In the local scene, I find Rhett Eala's couture dresses so beautiful.
Handy cover-up. A nice cardigan. The weather can get crazy here...so my cardigans have been my outfits' best friends over the years.
Motherly support. I have to say my mother is my biggest inspiration (and not just in style). She's my first teacher about fashion. I often find myself going to her closet and borrowing stuff because she has such good taste. She's also my number one fan, checking out my fashion blogs and asking how many chic votes I got on Chictopia or how many hypes I got on Lookbook. Her support has always boosted my confidence.
Fashion icons. I can't choose just one, but Alexa Chung is a fashion icon I constantly watch out for. I like Mary-Kate Olsen, Mischa Barton, Taylor Momsen and Serena van der Woodsen's style on Gossip Girl. Isabelle Daza's original fashion sense and Anne Curtis' classic style are local inspirations.
Style influence. Well, first was being a figure skater as I was growing up. The shiny and flirty dresses really influenced my style to be more feminine. Fashion blogs like Chictopia and Lookbook also shaped my style a lot. I think my fondness for Barbie as a kid also taught me how to be diverse fashion-wise and to be aware of what looks good.
Color palette. There are a lot of neutrals ranging from off white, to beige, to nude, to blush/ light pink, to mustard to brown.
Never ever! Skin-tone or tan leggings.
Stylish three. A pair of well-fitted blue jeans, a stunning LBD and red lipstick
Trend comeback. Culottes would probably be fun to have back. It's funny though because a lot of past trends are the current trends.
Vintage hand-me-downs. I love vintage and my mom and lola have great pieces. I don't own them, but I do borrow them a lot. They're probably at least ten years old.
