Simply basic. I love it when I look laid-back and effortless. I don’t want to compromise comfort for style, because I’d never wear anything that makes me feel uneasy or awkward.
Shopping haunt. Lately I've had my eyes on Forever 21. And if you peek into my closet, you’d also discover how much I adore pieces from Guess, Mango, and Zara. I go shopping practically everywhere. But I’m into fashion designing too, so sometimes I also wear clothes that I made myself.
Fashion designer idol. I think I'd go for Jay Nicolas Sario of Project Runway Cycle 6. He completely blew me away, and he’s a fellow Filipino. Such an inspiration!
Diamonds are girl's best friend. I never leave the house without wearing these diamond earrings from my mom. I feel half-naked without them.
Girl power. My inspiration is Tyra Banks. She empowers women like no other. To me, she’s like a role model reminding girls my age that being beautiful is all about being comfortable in your own skin.
Style gurus. Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton, and Blake Lively.
Urban-inspired. I grew up in the province, so there weren’t really too many opportunities for me to dress up for fancy parties and events in the metro. But I kept myself updated through magazines and social media. There were so many amazing celebrities and fashion bloggers that have played a critical role as I developed my own personal style. But for the most part, I think it’s my mom, too.
Clean white. My closet is 80% white.
No to pink. I’d never be caught wearing pink all over. I think I can’t pull it off. There are times when I suddenly feel like dressing up with a feminine vibe, but I always try to mix a kick of masculinity in it to bring out some edge. An extremely girly style is not me at all, and pink is not really my color.
The basic three. Denim shorts, plain white tee, and a pair of black pumps.
Borrowed vintage. Aside from her diamond hand-me-down earrings that I wear everyday, I also raid my mom’s closet for bags.
