What type of look will suit a dark-skinned girl like me? —Park Hyun Won via Facebook

One thing you should keep in mind when you're dark skinned is the color palette that suits your skin tone. Steer clear from flashy and colors that are too bright like pink and yellow because they might make your skin look dull. Wear colors that are sharp and clear like white, black, navy blue, and red. Avoid subdued earth tones like beige, orange, and gold. It's also good to know if your skin has a warm or a cool tone so you'll have a better understanding of what colors go best with your skin. Check your inner rest for blue (cool) or green (warm) veins—whatever's more dominant, that's your skin tone!

When it comes to the type of clothes, any style would do. As long as you wear it with confidence, you're good to go.

Keep it casual by sticking to earthy tones like brown and white. You can throw in a pop of color with a green top.
