Elena Gilbert, played by Nina Dobrev, will be experiencing much more changes than just turning into a vampire in season four. The Vampire Diaries' costume desinger Leigh Leverett explains that Elena's wardrobe will be transitioning and changing just like her character's appetite. We will start to see the newly transformed vampire in more dresses, belts, and boots. According to Leigh, it will still be the same Elena in occassional colored jeans but with a more sophisticated take. Also, more accessories will be added to the mix, like chain necklaces, now that Elena no longer needs to wear her Vervain necklace. This is something actress Nina definitely likes because she just loves jewelry.
