Femme Fetale. I’m always in dresses and skirts which make me really girly. But I always make it a point to make it a bit edgier and sexier. Like I’d wear really dark red lipstick or wear my hair in loose tousled curls. I also like mixing dressy with casual pieces for balance.
Shopping haven. I shop everywhere! I adore mainstream brands such as Forever21, Topshop and H&M. But I shop wherever I see something I like. I even shop in my friend’s ukay trunk!
Fave fashion designer. I like how playful yet feminine the Lanvin pieces are so I’d have to say Alber Elbaz.
Lips and eyes. The first one isn’t really a fashion accessory, but I’m rarely without lipstick. I use either nude lipstick, or really dark red lipstick. I am also getting addicted to sunglasses. I probably own 10 pairs now. I love wearing sunglasses even to the office or when it’s not sunny. I don’t care. If I’m not wearing sunglasses, it just means that I don’t have contacts on so I need to wear my reading glasses.
Inspired. I get so inspired by the people in Lookbook. It amazes me how fashionable people are. I especially like those with consistent styles. Now, since I’m studying at SoFA, I also get really inspired by my classmates and teachers.
Style gurus. Bloggers Rumi Neely of Fashion Toast and Karla Derass of Karla’s Closet. I also like the style of Agyness Deyn and Kate Moss.
Experimented. A year ago I wasn’t as adventurous when it came to dressing up. I guess I became more experimental when I started blogging. I began trying out new trends and new looks. Actually, blogging influenced me so much it even led me to applying for fashion school! Haha I also dress up based on my mood, pretty much like other people. Fashion really is a way of expressing yourself.
Mix of everything. My closet doesn’t seem to have an organized color palette. I am in black and red most of the time but I also have colorful pieces. My closet really is a mix of clothes, colors and styles.
No to dude shorts. I like menswear, I really do. I especially like their comfy shirts and huge long sleeved polos. But I just don’t find boyfriend shorts flattering. Maybe it’s because I’m tiny and they make me look fat.
The basics. One, you can never go wrong with a little black dress. Two, a crisp white oxford polo also never goes out of style. Three, I’d have to say black pumps. For me these are classy items that you can dress up or down depending on the occasion and on your mood.
Comeback trend. I want the long flowy dresses from the 70s. I want hippie fashion. I think it’s so nice to be that carefree and not have to make every detail of your outfit perfect. You throw on a dress, maybe a headdress or two and you’re done, you’re out the door.
Vintage owns. I’m not sure how old they are but I like wearing my mom’s vintage blazers, the one with the shoulder pads. I also like wearing my mom’s uber bright polos.
