A few Saturdays ago, Erika and I were given the opportunity to attend the Oishi O, Wow event inTrinoma where they revealed Oishi’s new brand ambassador! In the activity center, there were3 HUGE covered boxes containing surprises for everyone. I, for one, was extremely curious onwhat the surprises were! I couldn’t wait to see them!!!
Before the big reveal, the hosts got some people to play games. There was a pyramid buildingcontest and a talent show – very entertaining! But the viewers were way too excited to see whatwas inside the boxes so one by one, the hosts and dancers revealed the surprises. One by one,they removed the covers and showed everyone in Trinoma Oishi’s big surprise!
And last but definitely not the least, ELMO MAGALONA.You would not believe the rush of emotions I had when I saw Elmo in the box!
After the revealed the surprises, they announced that Elmo is the new BRAND AMBASSADORof Oishi. Who could better represent Oishi than him right? Once all the screaming and theadrenaline rushes died down, Elmo and Julie Anne took their place back on stage and sang All ofthe Lights.
The crowd screamed so loud when they sang! Sadly, Julie Anne had to leave but Elmo startedto rap different songs and even sang “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction, which hededicated to all the girls (hihi).
Then Callalily came out! They played a number of their songs and the crowd went wild. The leadsinger, Kean, was pretty crazy staying super close to the crowd (to the point that the girls weregrabbing him) and he even jumped over the barrier to stay in the playground! It was crazy butwas loads of entertaining.
The night finally ended with Julie Anne, Elmo, and Callalily coming back out and giving out Oishi products to the crowd. It was wild, people grabbing onto them and screaming their name. Aahh luckily Erika and I were inside the barrier so we got pictures with Elmo Magalona!!!
Thank you again Candy and Ms. Marla! Truly an unforgettable night

I’ve always been obsessed with makeup. I remember back when I was a third grader, I used to sneak in my mom’s bath and try out her lipsticks, blushes, etc. So I grew up acing various beautyquizzes while I collected Fs in Algebra.
My former school, ICA, has always been very strict in the implementation of rules. No colored hair, no nail polish, no ped socks, and sadly no makeup. So because of that, I got used to goingto school au naturale with a little bit of concealer here and there.
Now that I’m off to a place (also known as college) where colored hair, nail polish, ped socks, and makeup is allowed, let the games begin.
I took the liberty of compiling a few goodies that might come in handy for you, Candy college gals. And for those girls with sensitive skin like me, no worries all makeup shown below are mineral makeup from Ellana Mineral Cosmetics.
Day:
2. Lip Balm – A great balm will add an extra oomph to your lips and will keep them smoothduring the rainy season as well. Stock up on these super cute lip pots and tote them aroundcampus for easy reapplication.
3. Primer – A primer minimizes pores and creates a smooth base that will allow your make-upto last longer. And Ellana Minerals’ Sheer Velvet Powder Primer will not only do that but willleave your face super soft and will make your skin look extra amazing too.
5. Lip & Cheek Tint – It works as a lip stain and a blush. What more can you ask for? And getthis: lip stains will last through all of your classes compared to lipgloss.
Night:
1. Eye Primer – What defines college aside from harder lessons and mind-boggling homeworks?Answer: College parties! So let the smoky eye that you have been working on for two hoursstand out with the help of a good eye primer.
4. Lip Palette – It smoothens your lips and make you party ready at the same time! And with thatmuch choices, you’ll always stand out at any event.
6. Finishing Powder – Think the airbrush effect but in a pot.
I know that most college students focus more on their academics than on how they look. Butappearance is very important. I’m sure your professors will appreciate you putting on an effort tolook good for their class.
Sparks and Love,
Janelle:-*

I tend to be a dork about the music that I love, especially when I think that theproduction is insane. Despite spending most of my life among dancers likemyself, musicians have always held a special place in my heart. I’m not sure ifit’s just my unfortunate musically-handicapped self talking, but I mean it when Isay that I have great respect for people who have the ability of crafting the aurallyappetizing. Anyone who can rock a guitar solo and make my ears bleed glitter isdefinitely an instant suspect for stealing my heart!
Insanely amazing guitarists (and bassists!) aside, I’ve actually always had a thingfor beatboxers too! Of course I believe it’s crucial that they can still carry a tune (Imean hello, this girl dreams of being serenaded one day!) but really, being ableto sing any instrument better than I can actually play it is a huge plus!
Take this guy, for example. Mike Tompkins instantly captured my heart as soonas I saw his mashup of “Teenage Dream” and “Just The Way You Are!”
And can I just say that I am now officially Kimbra’s biggest fan? I knew she couldsing but dang, an elaborate one-woman arrangement?! Someone please get metickets so I can marvel at her live! :-(
I wish I were as talented as these guys; unfortunately, I can’t beatbox to save my own life. Luckily, I have these guys to teach me how!

Last April 18, I was invited (thanks to Candy!) to an Oishi event held in Chef Jessie. Of course, I really had to go becauseI love Oishi! I mean, does not love Smart C+ (MY FAVORITE), Pillows and more, right?
We got there a little late, but I really am glad we were still able to catch up. I am not exaggerating, but every 5 minutes, there’s a wave of new Oishi products given out to EVERYONE.
Tim Yap decided to drop by the event to check out the new Oishi endorser. I, of course, did not pass that opportunity to take a picture with him.
Before the endorser was revealed, he was telling everyone his top O. Wow! moments of his life. Right then and there, I knew it had to be…
ELMO MAGALONA!
Isn’t he just so dreamy? Girls, these pictures are for you.
I had to wait for his interviews to be finished to be able to take a picture of him, but at least it’s not a swarm of girls battling for his attention! After 2 years (YES, TWO) of wanting to meet him, my dream has been fulfilled at last.
Thank you, Candy and Oishi for this opportunity again! I love being a Candy Girl, and so does my friend Amanda.
<3,
Erika

Fashion bloggers are some of the people I look up to especially when it comes to dressing up. What I admire most about these bloggers is how they incorporate their personalities with the way they dress up and how versatile they can be—one day they’re all clad in florals+pastels then they’re dressed in an all black, edgy outfit the next day. With all that, I used my Polyvore account to make a clearer vision on how I see these bloggers work the different trends. Top fashion bloggers Laureen, Camille, Kryz, Tricia, and Patricia are extremely fashionable without any doubt, but I believe that Jasmine, Jaz and Sarah are just as stylish and fab as them!I chose 5 style-savvy Candy Girls and here are some outfits I made inspired from the popular trends now like pastels, color blocking, print-on-prints, etc.

{Laureen Uy: Edgy Glam}
Surprising mix of prints, excessorizing, corsets, and high-waist shorts are just some of Laureen’s current loves. This blogger/entrepreneur/stylist/actress is all about making a statement—whether it’s with her shoes, accessories, or whatnot.-

{Camille Co: Modern Sophistication}
Mango It Girl Camille usually mixes high and low brands, classic with a twist as you call it but just like any other bloggers, she isn’t afraid to take risks. If I’d describe her, she’d be classy & very put together. -

{Kryz Uy: Trendy & Fab}
This Cebu-based girl has been spotted in undeniably Lookbook-worthy outfits. I’m pretty sure girls will continue to watch out for this pretty girl’s blog posts and her glamorous yet wearable get-ups! -

{Tricia Gosingtian: Romantic & Sweet}
Tricia Gosingtian has definitely made a name for herself. She’s truly captured a lot of attention from our generation throughout the years and now, clad in sweet, girly outfits I bet she’ll wow you with her little surprises as she turn her style every now and then. -

{Patricia Prieto: Bohemian Chic}
Usually dolled up in boho or in her go-to black pieces, this girl surely does make fashion more interesting! While she tests on the trends, you’ll still see a hint of her all-time favorites!
Ahh, I’m literally beyond excited! I hope you are too! See you all on May 4th!
xx, Dana
