I really want to see Fuerza Bruta. Being into the arts and all, hearing about the show just made me all giddy and excited because as a friend puts it, “It’s a combination of Cirque du Soleil and tugs tugs.”

True enough, Fuerza Bruta literally translates to “brute force,” which is probably a description fitting for the dynamic and high-energy entertainment one would be able to get out of the show.

The idea of a show that’s so electric, dynamic, and avant-garde greatly appealed to me so I immediately looked it up upon hearing about it.

After seeing the trailer, I immediately looked for pictures from the show because I wanted more. I was far from disappointed—in fact, every image had me puking out glitter and rainbows out of pure bliss!

The best part about the idea of this Argentinian show is the concept of it being largely interactive. The performance of the cast greatly depends on their interaction with the audience making the show a more youthful and tugs-tugs type of show.

According to a friend of mine who was able to catch the premiere last Valentine’s Day, there were parts wherein they would smash styrofoam boxes over people’s heads and spray water and glitter all over the audience. All that glittery goodness got to me and I knew right then and there that I just have to watch this live!

And here’s the cherry on top: I screamed for joy when I found out that Fuerza Bruta will be staging shows here in Manila until March 26. That means more time for me to save up and witness the bizarre and amazing show!
