La Paella in Greenhills

With our limited allowance and time, us teenagers enjoy finding new spots to enjoy our time with each other. Aside from the usual activities like catching a movie and shopping for clothes, we enjoy hanging out in restaurants. Sitting down and talking over good food make bonding more meaningful. This is why Candy Girls owe it to each other to share new spots they recommend for future hang-outs.
Allow me to start with La Paella in Greenhills. It may not be new to others, but for a first timer, it was new to me. I usually just pass by it, but when all the other restaurants I used to eat in were full, I decided to give the dimly lit (and seemingly expensive) restaurant a try.
The food was delicious. I especially liked the sizzling bulalo. It was the first time that I tasted bulalo—soft and juicy—smothered in gravy sauce.
I also recommend the churros. It had the right combination of being crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. It was also served with a small bowl of warm chocolate that was so irresistible, I asked for a second bowl.
I was also happy with their good service. They willingly added more gravy and more chocolate dip when we were halfway through our meal.
What sets it apart from its neighboring restaurants is its ambience. While the hustle and bustle from all the other shoppers could be tiring, this dim restaurant is quiet and has a more relaxing touch. If you’ve spent an entire afternoon shopping and want a relaxing meal, eating here just might be the perfect end to your day. I’ll definitely be coming back here. It’s a new place for me, but my eyes are still open for more places to discover. What about you? Where do you like to hang out?
