Law of Attraction

School has officially begun. Long gone are the summer days. Although the idea of another new school year can be exciting, it is more nerve-wrecking for me- and for everyone else, I guess? For me, the first few weeks are the most challenging because I have to get out of the summer mood and switch to the study and focus gear. I was thinking of a way to make my transition easier this year. I was looking for ways to be motivated. The answer finally came to me: A VISION BOARD. That’s it! I was going to make a vision board. A vision board is something that I can look at and be motivated with all the stuff that’s on it. It’s a sort of collage of my vision of what I want my life to be, of what I want to do. When I finished mine and looked at it, I smiled and knew that this was going to do the job of keeping me motivated. Want to make your own? Here are the simple steps to making one:
- Think of what how you want it to look like. Create the vision of your vision board. Do you want it to look like a scrapbook? Do you want it to be a collage? Come up with creative ideas.
- Think of what exactly you’re going to put in it. On my VB, I knew I wanted to include inspirational quotes, pictures of what I want to be, pictures of where I want to go, and cute but meaningful icons.
- Gather all the materials you need for it. Go to a supplies store and buy the art paper, construction paper, and illustration board you need. Visit Xanga, Flickr, Google, and other websites to look for pictures and quotes you want on your board.
- Work on it. I had a lot of fun making my Vision Board, even though I had to cut and paste a lot. Haha! It was actually a stress reliever for me.
- When it’s done, be in awe of your work. And of course, look at it every time you need some motivation during the school year. Put in a place where you can see it all the time.
I hope this will help!
Good luck with the upcoming school year, Candy Girls! Just remember not to dread each day and just enjoy. School isn’t THAT bad.
And think: Every waking moment is a day closer to summer 2010!
