Making Our Minimag: Versatile Style

Hey, Girls!
How are you enjoying the COC mini-mag so far?
If you flip to pages 2 and 3 you’ll see our fashion and beauty section, which I worked on with Rubie.
We began with the concept of exploring new styles. We then thought of having one main piece and showing its versatility through two very different, bold and unique looks. After plenty of brainstorming, window-shopping and “exploring” we decided on a pair of black shorts and the two styles: Posh and Funky.
Once we had our idea we started searching for the perfect pieces to fit our plan. Rubie and I would meet up in malls to browse. We went through countless stores in search for the ideal top, the quintessential shoe and the ultimate beauty product. I had such a fun time working on this section and I was so excited to see how it would turn out.
We had the Beauty and Fashion shoot together with the Council at the Summit Studio. We still had plenty of decisions to make and began to layout our plan. Our two models, Guia Alvendia and Buena Sawit, had to try on various pieces until we all agreed on it. Thanks to our hair and makeup artist, Ria Gamboa, we got the final look we hoped to achieve.

Time to put on some groovy and glamorous makeup.

AFTER: All smiles and enthusiasm!
So tell us, what do you think about this versatile style section?
And if you haven’t seen it yet, go out and get the Candy October ’08 Issue with the Minimag inside!
We hope you have as much as fun reading it as we had making it!
=D Candy Girl for Life,
Patricia
