Eat, Bea. Eat.

You girls know how much I love to eat, so this post will be dedicated to one of my favorite restaurants: Bubba Gump!
This resto was inspired by the movie Forrest Gump. If you have seen Forrest Gump, I’m sure you noticed how young and thin Tom Hanks was. Hehe! Kidding aside, Forrest Gump was about the travelogue of Forrest himself. His character is truly amusing and interesting. Google it, buy a DVD or download the film because you’ll surely enjoy watching the journey of Forrest. Anyway, you may me wondering how “Bubba” is related to Forrest. Well, let’s just say they were close because he named his company after his dear friend, which inspired an actual shrimp company; thus the birth of Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

Bubba Gump has two branches in the Philippines, one in Greenbelt 3 and the other in Trinoma. My brother, Kuya Brian, works in GB3 as a chef/cook.

My brother (the one wearing a blue Bubba Gump shirt with a black cap) with some of the kitchen staff.
My family loves to eat there not just because of the discount we get, haha! But because they truly serve delicious food. However, I must say that Bubba Gump is somewhat pricey; nevertheless, you’ll surely get your money’s worth because of their yummy food, from appetizers up to their dessert.
Just last Saturday my family dined in again, this time, I was able to take some photos before we ate. Let me repeat that, SOME photos only because everyone was just excited to munch their food. Hehe!
Here are some snaps:

My order was the Backyard BBQ Combo. I was so full after eating baby back ribs, BBQ Chicken, French Fries, corn and coleslaw!

Kuya Bernie and daddy both ordered “Mama’s Southern Fried Chicken.” Seriously, they have huge servings. My dad wasn’t even able to finish his order; he even asked the servers to pack what he wasn’t able to eat for takeout.

“Captain’s Fish and Chips” for Kuya Brian. Again, their servings are so big!

We just ordered one dessert because we were all too full to eat some more. Haha! We had Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae. Wow! Okay, the photo is a bit blurry but trust me, this dessert is awesome! The Chocolate chip cookie is topped with vanilla ice cream and Whipped Cream. Seriously, do not leave Bubba Gump without eating this!
Unfortunately, these are the only photos I got last Saturday. But to satisfy your curiosity on what other food you should try here are the top three picks of Kuya Brian:
1.   BBQ Chicken Salad
2.   Cajun Shrimp
3.   Shrimper’s Heaven
Another thing that makes my Bubba Gump experience exciting is their unique style of letting the customers call the servers. How? Allow me to explain: All tables have two kinds of license plates. You just have to flip whichever you want or need.

Run Forrest Run means you don’t need anything from the servers. This phrase was a significant line from the film. Stop Forrest Stop calls the attention of the servers and they will immediately approach you for your requests/needs.
If you still want more details, visit their website: www.bubbagump.com.ph or better yet, go to Greenbelt 3 or Trinoma to try out their scrumptious meals. (Smiley please) Then tell me about your Bubba Gump experience!
Would never get tired of running to Bubba Gump,
Bea
