Pasalubong

Hey everyone!
I just got back from Bacolod. What did I do there again? Thesis ethnography/immersion once again! Yes, my thesis mates and I went back to the Kansalakan mountain clinic in Barangay Banwague, Guihulngan, Negros Oriental. We had to go back to witness the medical mission, assist somehow, interview more residents and community health workers and shoot more footage.
I really have tons of stories to tell, but let me save the kwento about my newest adventure after my thesis mates give me copies of our pictures. Hehe! I did not bring my camera because for some reason, it is always low batt! Grr! I have to get a new cam soon!
So for now, I will be sharing the pasalubong I bought for my family and friends: Oh and my thesis mates and I bought pasalubong for our professors as well. (smiley please)

Of course, the famous Piyaya of Bacolod! I love the chocolate and ube filling so I got both flavors.

I love to eat Barquillos with ice cream, so I am definitely buying ice cream later so that I can devour this. Hehe! Wait, I bought pasalubong for myself too! Haha! What I mean is, I also bought delicacies of Bacolod for myself. Hehe!

The first time I ate this was when my friend, Lala gave me this as pasalubong from Bohol. So I figured, Peanut kisses are a delicacy of Bohol but I was wrong. Peanut kisses are not only found in Bohol, they are also sold in Bacolod. Yay!

Because I was in charge of buying the pasalubongs for our professors, plus my pasalubongs for my loved ones, I was able to fill two boxes full of pasalubongs.
Even if I was worried of having over weight baggage, I still made sure I purchased enough goods for my loved ones. Oh and I am excited to eat my share as well. Hehe!
How about you girls, have you been to Bacolod? Or did a friend came from Bacolod already and gave you pasalubong? Tell me about it!
Happy to be home,
Bea
