Okay, this is one very belated post about a very belated party. Last August 2, I finally celebrated my birthday with my dearest orgmates—yes, FINALLY, because my birthday’s on May 27! Hahaha!

As early as March, I already knew how I’d celebrate my birthday with my college besties (karaoke!), but I practically swore that we wouldn’t have it unless we were complete. After weeks and weeks of postponing—one or two couldn’t make it at a time, and I’m a birthday brat, I wanted complete attendance—I finally got to celebrate, 68 days after I turned 21!

We went to Red Box in Greenbelt, and we had so much fun singing our hearts out! Here are some snaps:

I was very upset by something earlier in the day, but Peps (who happens to be my thesis partner) had the energy of ten people, and she was really screaming into the mike, belting like there’s no tomorrow, and even occasionally screaming, “Wave your hands in the air!” Haha! She was practically bouncing off the walls! There was no way I could stay upset after that! :p

We sang along to a lot of Madonna tunes. Haha. My favorite song was probably “Like A Virgin,” because Misha had stepped out then and we girls got to sing the song with so much, well, girlie energy. Haha!

As far as my friends were concerned, my birthday came quite late this year (”quite” being a gross understatement), but as they say, better late than never! And that day with the gang—the complete gang—was really worth the wait. I loved that I had everyone there, and I would have waited until December if I had to.

So here’s to karaoke (always a recipe for fun!), to birthdays, and to friends. And here’s hoping that all of you girls will get to share your special occasions with the people you hold dear.
