On Things That Make You Go Lalala

There are a few things that can make me feel infinite.
Music has to be one of them.
I’ve never really been a musically inclined individual. Having learned that I cannot play any instrument (a triangle is an instrument, yes, but let’s not count that) early on, I decided I was pretty much into either writing or sports. But I guess you can say that my love for music has transcended in more ways than one. I am happiest when my headphones hug my ears and I hear no outside distractions from the uhm, outside world. Haha!

It’s easy to get lost in music, don’t you think?
And I think that’s what music does best.

My friend, Sev, tried to teach me how to play the drums. I’ll go stick with the triangle now, thank you very much. =))
It takes you away, holds that train of imagination in your head, captures the little thoughts all scrambled up inside, and allows you to be a part of something truly magnificent. It’s such a universal thing that it allows multiple and very different people to unite and agree on something. And I guess it’s safe to say that music is in itself, an understanding.
I guess it’s the same for you.
Music gives you that get-happy vibe you’ve been craving for since school started. It relieves you of your everyday stressors and flips your mood to something more positive and upbeat. So what your teacher scolded you? So what you had a huge fight with you best friend? So what you failed your last Math quiz and got grounded in the process? Music allows you to sit back, relax, and chill.
And it really doesn’t matter what genre you listen to, may it be Rock, Pop, R&B, Techno, or House, at the end of every song, all you could do is just press replay.
It’s these things that make you go lalala. It’s things that make you dance when no one’s watching. It’s these things that make you pick up a hairbrush and just sing in front of the mirror that make you realize you’re never too old or too young to enjoy things that make you feel infinite.
I hope that YOU find that thing to make you feel infinite, whatever it may be.
Because I know I have.
With Coldplay on loop,
Sandra
