Some Bollywood Love

Last week I attended the debut of one of my favorite people, Danehboy. No, she is not a boy—I think, I hope. Haha! She’s the sister of our beloved, Nikki Gil. (My darling, I think hanggang dyan nalang muna identity mo! Hahaha, kidding, Dani!) Well, I’ll tell you more about her. She’s talented, smart, pretty, and she’s very, very nice (Plug! Plug! Plug! Single and available, boys! Haha!) Like what I said earlier—one of my favorite people!
Her debut theme was Bollywood, hence the career mode outfits present that night, which I have not given much justice due to my lack of cultural awareness. But, yeah, it was so much fun—everything was BIG TIME, as we so fondly call it. Even the prizes—they gave away Nikki’s new CD, very nice! (Go grab a copy, girls!)
What’s great about this Bollywood bash is that we get to dress up as something unusual and accessorize unconventionally (like that thing on my forehead! I love it! Ed’s note: That’s called a bindi.
) They say it signifies a woman’s married status. A great declaration for me then—I meant for the future! Haha!
(1)Â Â Â Dani and I goofing around, hence, my facial distortion!
(2)Â Â Â Pat, Micah, and I making pa-cute!
(3)Â Â Â Pat and I doing something very odd and unexplainable.
It’s definitely one of those debut celebrations I would never forget, not only because it was undeniably beautiful, but also because that day I was able to appreciate a friend more for all she’s worth.
Sometimes, I wish I could turn back the hands of time and throw a party like that for myself (Oh, had I known, I would’ve opted for that over shopping!) But then again, we all celebrate our 18th years differently, and whether it’s a grand Bollywood bash or a simple dinner with family or friends, what’s important is that we realize how God has blessed us through the years (and still continually does) and be grateful for it.

While waiting for the program to start
Feel free to share about your debut or what you, Candy girls are planning for your 18th.
Belly dancing my heart out,
Crissy
