Candy girls, let us now talk about Math.

* Candy girl closes the computer window *
* Another Candy girl clicks Play: Candy Pairs *
* Another Candy girl shouts, boohoo *

I know, I know. Who loves Math, right? Apparently, I do and because I love Math so much, I chose it to be my major.

* Candy girl whispers, “Oh my gosh, she’s a nerd!” *

Mheems loves Math

Oh no, no, no! Just to make it clear, I am not a nerd—not the ones you see on TV. I don’t wear thick eyeglasses, I don’t not all the time, anyway) fall butt first in front of people, I don’t (and won’t) wear suspenders with tucked in polo in really bitin pants, and I don’t always get perfect scores in my exams (Haha, yabang!).

I love Math because of four main reasons:

1. I love Math because I don’t need to memorize names (that includes scientific names), dates, procedures, and lots of facts. In Math, one concept is enough to solve 10 or more problems.

2. Quoting Cady Heron of Mean Girls, it’s the same in every country. One Math problem has only one correct answer—whether you’re in Philippines, Vietnam, or wherever. One is always equal to one :)

3. The feeling that I get whenever I get the correct answer in a really difficult Math problem is truly amazing. It makes me want to solve more. :))

4. And lastly, Math is not just about addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. It’s more about patience. Like when you can’t get the right answer to a problem but you still continue to solve for it. It’s a lesson in Math that’s not taught but acquired.

So this coming school year, just have fun in your Math class, whether it’s Algebra, Statistics, Geometry, or Trigonometry. Remember, Math is not something you should fear, it’s something you should enjoy. ;)

Still solving for the value of x,
Mheems

Mheems, saw the links in multiply. I don’t love math but I don’t hate it naman, it’s somewhere in between. When the topic is easy, I love it, when it sucks, I hate it
