Lionsgate has announced a minor title change for the second part of their blockbuster franchise. Formerly titled Catching Fire, the Francis Lawrence-directed sequel to this year's The Hunger Games will now be called The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
It is expected in this sequel that the trio—Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth—would be back to reprise their roles as Katniss, Peeta, and Gale, respectively. Other actors and actresses whose characters have appeared in the book would also be back, with quite a few new additions to be announced soon, according to Lionsgate.
Though unconfirmed, Lionsgate is expected to split the third book, Mockingjay, into two films and will hit theaters as The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.
