Us Directioners are very used to Little Mix's Perrie Edwards talking very little about her relationship with One Direction's Zayn Malik. After all, who wouldn't do the same thing? With so many haters tweeting her and death threats being sent to her, she must have decided to keep her mouth zip about her boyfriend.
However, the blonde beauty has opened up a little about her romance with Zayn during her interview with Fabulous Magazine. Perrie, who's been busy promoting their group's newest single "Wings," revealed to the publication that she hit it off with One Direction singer as soon as they met.
Perrie said that she and Zayn started out as friend when they first met last year, after One Direction was asked to take part in a charity single with the 2011 The X Factor finalists. The two met during a video shoot for the record; and even though it was rumored that they had a brief fling then, she insisted that they didn't actually get together until this year.
"Yes, it's official," Perrie said in the interview. "We were never together when I was on the show, but we did talk a lot. I met him on the charity single [Wishing On A Star which saw the 2011 X Factor finalists team up with 1D] and he was just really sweet and we’ve been friends since then."
Zayn Malik then met with Perrie in April, as soon as he and his band returned to UK after their American, Australian, and New Zealand tours. The hunk took his new lady friend out to the cinema and earlier this month, he publicly declared his love when he wished her happy birthday on Twitter and said those all important three words.
She confessed that it's often hard to get around with their conflicting schedules, and that they’re trying to work around it. "It's not difficult to have a relationship when you're so busy, it's just a case of knowing what your priorities are. Things do happen and it's not you that changes, it's your life that changes."
