Billions of people around the globe watched the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics, with Queen Elizabeth II starting the games. The opening turned out to be amazing, fantastic, jaw-dropping, and spectacular (which showed the early culture of United Kingdom, from Shakespeare to J.K. Rowling, to their big musical acts such as The Beatles).
Now the thing is this—for a couple of months, the "What Makes You Beautiful" and "One Thing" singers, One Direction, have been rumored to be singing on the closing ceremony of the Olympics. But now, it seems like this rumor is not going to stay a rumor forever.
Last July 29, The Mirror confirmed that the British-Irish boy band will be appearing at the ceremony along with Ed Sheeran (the one wrote the lads' track "Moments"), and other big UK musical acts Take That, Queen, The Who, and the Spice Girls.
So Directioners, are you ready to sing along with One Direction on the Olympics?
