There are a lot of rumors going around whether Demi and Niall are dating and although there doesn't seem to be a future Diall soon, Niall opens up that him and Demi went for dinner after the VMAs in Now Magazine but was kept strictly friendly, and was there a possible kiss? Unfortunately no and the 1D singer even added, "No, no—I wish!"

Niall also shares what she thought of Demi saying, "[She's] one of the nicest girls I know. She's super-cool," on top of that, "She always texts me to see how I am. But nothing ever really happened."

Demi on the other hand, seems very strong on working on her career right now; she even confirmed that she’s not dating Niall on MTV.com, saying, "No, I'm not [with him]. He's really sweet and he's one of my really good friends now. But I'm single at the moment," she said. "And I plan to be for a long time because I need to focus on my career and myself and my well-being before I think about getting in a relationship with anyone."
